1 Kings 6
1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year that Solomon was king of Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, the building of the Lord's house was started.
Und [2. Chron. 3] es geschah im 480. Jahre nach dem Auszuge der Kinder Israel aus dem Lande Ägypten, im vierten Jahre der Regierung Salomos über Israel, im Monat Siw, das ist der zweite Monat, da baute er Jehova das Haus. [O. da baute er das Haus Jehovas]
2 The house which Solomon made for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.
Und das Haus, das der König Salomo Jehova baute: sechzig Ellen war seine Länge, und zwanzig Ellen seine Breite, und dreißig Ellen seine Höhe.
3 The covered way before the Temple of the house was twenty cubits long, as wide as the house, and ten cubits wide in front of the house.
Und die Halle vor dem Tempel [d. h. dem Heiligen] des Hauses: zwanzig Ellen war ihre Länge vor der Breite des Hauses her; zehn Ellen war ihre Breite vor dem Hause her.
4 And for the house he made windows, with network across.
Und er machte dem Hause Fenster, die mit unbeweglichen Querstäben vergittert waren.
5 And against the walls all round, and against the walls of the Temple and of the inmost room, he put up wings, with side rooms all round:
Und er baute an die Wand des Hauses Stockwerke ringsum, an die Wände des Hauses ringsum, des Tempels und des Sprachortes; [O. des Hinterraumes, so auch nachher] und er machte Seitenzimmer ringsum.
6 The lowest line of them being five cubits wide, the middle six cubits wide and the third seven cubits; for there was a space all round the outside walls of the house so that the boards supporting the rooms did not have to be fixed in the walls of the house.
Das untere Stockwerk: fünf Ellen war seine Breite, und das mittlere, sechs Ellen seine Breite, und das dritte, sieben Ellen seine Breite; denn er hatte außen am Hause ringsum Absätze gemacht, um nicht in die Wände des Hauses einzugreifen. [nämlich durch die Balkenköpfe der einzelnen Stockwerke]
7 (And the stones used in the building of the house were squared at the place where they were cut out; there was no sound of hammer or axe or any iron instrument while they were building the house.)
Und das Haus wurde bei seiner Erbauung aus vollständig behauenen Steinen [W. von vollständigen Steinen des Steinbruchs] erbaut; und Hammer und Meißel, irgend ein eisernes Werkzeug, wurde nicht am Hause gehört, als es erbaut wurde.
8 The door to the lowest side rooms was in the right side of the house; and they went up by twisting steps into the middle rooms, and from the middle into the third.
Der Eingang der mittleren [Wahrsch. zu l.: der unteren] Seitenzimmer war an der rechten [d. i. südlichen] Seite des Hauses; und mittelst Wendeltreppen stieg man zu den mittleren, und von den mittleren zu den dritten hinauf.
9 So he put up the house and made it complete, roofing it with boards of cedar-wood.
Und er baute das Haus und vollendete es, und er deckte das Haus mit Balken und Reihen von Cedern.
10 And he put up the line of side rooms against the walls of the house, fifteen cubits high, resting against the house on boards of cedar-wood.
Und er baute die Stockwerke an das ganze Haus, fünf Ellen ihre Höhe; und sie waren mit dem Hause durch Cedernhölzer verbunden. [Eig. sie faßten an das Haus durch Cedernhölzer]
11 (And the word of the Lord came to Solomon, saying,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu Salomo, indem er sprach:
12 About this house which you are building: if you will keep my laws and give effect to my decisions and be guided by my rules, I will give effect to my word which I gave to David your father.
Dieses Haus, das du bauest-wenn du in meinen Satzungen wandeln und meine Rechte tun und alle meine Gebote beobachten wirst, daß du darin wandelst, so werde ich dir mein Wort aufrecht halten, das ich zu deinem Vater David geredet habe;
13 And I will be ever among the children of Israel, and will not go away from my people.
und ich werde inmitten der Kinder Israel wohnen und werde mein Volk Israel nicht verlassen.
14 So Solomon made the building of the house complete.)
Und Salomo baute das Haus und vollendete es. -
15 The walls of the house were covered inside with cedar-wood boards; from the floor to the roof of the house they were covered inside with wood; and the floor was covered with boards of cypress-wood.
Und er baute die Wände des Hauses innerhalb mit Cedernbrettern; vom Fußboden des Hauses bis an die Wände der Decke überzog er sie innerhalb mit Holz; und er überzog den Fußboden des Hauses mit Cypressenbrettern.
16 And at the back of the house a further space of twenty cubits was shut in with boards of cedar-wood, for the inmost room.
Und er baute die zwanzig Ellen an der Hinterseite des Hauses mit Cedernbrettern, vom Fußboden bis an die Wände; [O. sowohl den Fußboden als auch die Wände] und er baute sie ihm inwendig zum Sprachorte, zum Allerheiligsten.
17 And the house, that is, the Temple, in front of the holy place was forty cubits long.
Und das Haus, das ist der Tempel, vorn vor dem Sprachorte, war vierzig Ellen lang.
18 (All the inside of the house was cedar-wood, ornamented with designs of buds and flowers; no stonework was to be seen inside.)
Und das Cedernholz am Hause, inwendig, war Schnitzwerk von Koloquinthen und aufbrechenden Blumen; [And.: und Gehängen von Blumen; so auch v 29 usw.] alles war Cedernholz, kein Stein wurde gesehen.
19 And he made ready an inmost room in the middle of the house, in which to put the ark of the agreement of the Lord.
Und den Sprachort im Innersten des Hauses richtete er zu, um die Lade des Bundes Jehovas dahin zu setzen;
20 And the inmost room was twenty cubits square and twenty cubits high, plated over with clear gold, and he made an altar of cedar-wood, plating it with gold.
und das Innere des Sprachortes: [Da diese Übersetzung zweifelhaft ist, so ist vielleicht zu l.: und der Sprachort] zwanzig Ellen die Länge, und zwanzig Ellen die Breite, und zwanzig Ellen seine Höhe; und er überzog ihn mit geläutertem Golde; auch den Cedernholzaltar überzog er damit.
21 Solomon had all the inside of the house covered with gold, and he put chains of gold across in front of the inmost room, which itself was covered with gold.
Und Salomo überzog das Haus inwendig mit geläutertem Golde; und er zog goldene Ketten vor dem Sprachorte her, und überzog ihn mit Gold.
22 Plates of gold were put all through the house till it was covered completely (and the altar in the inmost room was all covered with gold).
Und das ganze Haus überzog er mit Gold, das ganze Haus vollständig; auch den ganzen Altar, der zum Sprachorte gehörte, überzog er mit Gold.
23 In the inmost room he made two winged beings of olive-wood, ten cubits high;
Und er machte im Sprachorte zwei Cherubim von Ölbaumholz, zehn Ellen ihre Höhe;
24 With outstretched wings five cubits wide; the distance from the edge of one wing to the edge of the other was ten cubits.
und fünf Ellen maß der eine Flügel des Cherubs, und fünf Ellen der andere Flügel des Cherubs: zehn Ellen von dem einen Ende seiner Flügel bis zu dem anderen Ende seiner Flügel;
25 The two winged ones were ten cubits high, of the same size and form.
und zehn Ellen maß der andere Cherub: beide Cherubim hatten ein Maß und einen Schnitt.
26 The two of them were ten cubits high.
Die Höhe des einen Cherubs war zehn Ellen, und ebenso die des anderen Cherubs.
27 These were placed inside the inner house, their outstretched wings touching the walls of the house, one touching one wall and one the other, while their other wings were touching in the middle.
Und er stellte die Cherubim in das innerste Haus; und die Cherubim breiteten die Flügel aus, [W. und man breitete die Flügel der Cherubim aus] so daß der Flügel des einen an diese Wand rührte, und der Flügel des anderen Cherubs an die andere Wand rührte; und ihre Flügel, nach der Mitte des Hauses zu, rührten Flügel an Flügel.
28 These winged ones were plated over with gold.
Und er überzog die Cherubim mit Gold.
29 And all the walls of the house inside and out were ornamented with forms of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers.
Und an allen Wänden des Hauses ringsum schnitzte er eingegrabenes Schnitzwerk von Cherubim und Palmen und aufbrechenden Blumen, innerhalb und außerhalb.
30 And the floor of the house was covered with gold, inside and out.
Und den Fußboden des Hauses überzog er mit Gold, innerhalb und außerhalb.
31 For the way into the inmost room he made doors of olive-wood, the arch and the door supports forming a five-sided opening.
Und für den Eingang des Sprachortes machte er Türflügel von Ölbaumholz; die Einfassung, die Pfosten, bildeten den fünften Teil der Wand.
32 On the olive-wood doors were cut designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers, all of them, with the doors, plated with gold.
Und in die zwei Türflügel von Ölbaumholz, darein schnitzte er Schnitzwerk von Cherubim und Palmen und aufbrechenden Blumen, und er überzog sie mit Gold: er breitete das Gold aus über die Cherubim und über die Palmen.
33 Then he made pillars of olive-wood for the way into the Temple; the pillars were square:
Und ebenso machte er für den Eingang des Tempels Pfosten von Ölbaumholz aus dem vierten Teile der Wand,
34 And two folding doors of cypress-wood, with two leaves.
und zwei Türflügel von Cypressenholz: aus zwei drehbaren Blättern war der eine Flügel, und aus zwei drehbaren Blättern der andere Flügel.
35 These were ornamented with designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers, plated over with gold.
Und er schnitzte Cherubim und Palmen und aufbrechende Blumen ein und überzog sie mit Gold, geschlichtet über das Eingegrabene.
36 And the inner space was walled with three lines of squared stones and a line of cedar-wood boards.
Und er baute den inneren Hof aus drei Reihen behauener Steine und aus einer Reihe Cedernbalken.
37 In the fourth year the base of the house was put in its place, in the month Ziv.
Im vierten Jahre wurde der Grund des Hauses Jehovas gelegt, im Monat Siw;
38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the building of the house was complete in every detail, as it had been designed. So he was seven years building it.
und im elften Jahre, im Monat Bul, das ist der achte Monat, war das Haus vollendet nach allen seinen Stücken und nach all seiner Vorschrift; [O. Gebühr] und so baute er sieben Jahre daran.
