< 1 Kings 15 >

1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, Abijam became king over Judah.
In yac aksingoul oalkosr ma Tokosra Jeroboam el leum lun Israel, Abijah el tokosrala lun Judah,
2 For three years he was king in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.
ac el leum yac tolu in Jerusalem. Nina kial pa Maacah, acn natul Absalom.
3 And he did the same sins which his father had done before him: his heart was not completely true to the Lord his God, like the heart of David his father.
El oru pacna kain ma koluk ma papa tumal ah tuh oru, ac el tia arulana inse pwaye nu sin LEUM GOD lal in oana David, papa tumun papa tumal ah.
4 But because of David, the Lord gave him a light in Jerusalem, making his sons king after him, so that Jerusalem might be safe;
Tusruktu ke sripal David, LEUM GOD lal El tuh sang wen se natul Abijah in tuh leum tokol in Jerusalem, ac in karinganang tuh in oasr misla in acn Jerusalem.
5 Because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and never in all his life went against his orders, but only in the question of Uriah the Hittite.
LEUM GOD El oru ma inge mweyen David el tuh oru ma El insewowo kac, ac tiana seakos ke ma El sapkin, sayen ma el oru nu sel Uriah, mwet Hit.
6
Mweun ma tuh mutawauk inmasrlol Rehoboam ac Jeroboam, orek pacna ke lusen moul lal Abijah.
7 Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
Ac ma nukewa saya ma Abijah el orala, simla oasr in [Sramsram Matu Ke Tokosra Lun Judah].
8 Then Abijam went to rest with his fathers, and they put him into the earth in the town of David: and Asa his son became king in his place.
Abijah el misa ac pukpuki in Siti sel David, ac Asa wen natul, el aolul in tokosra.
9 In the twentieth year that Jeroboam was king of Israel, Asa became king over Judah.
In yac aklongoul ke pacl in leum lal Tokosra Jeroboam lun Israel, Asa el tokosrala lun Judah,
10 And he was king for forty-one years in Jerusalem; his mother's name was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.
ac el leum ke yac angngaul sie in Jerusalem. Nina matu kial pa Maacah, acn natul Absalom.
11 Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father did.
Asa el oru ma akinsewowoye LEUM GOD, oana David, papa matu tumal, el tuh oru.
12 Those used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods he sent out of the country, and he took away all the images which his fathers had made.
El lusla liki facl sac mukul ac mutan nukewa su orek kosro in nien alu lun mwet pegan, ac el tolla ma sruloala nukewa ma orekla sin tokosra meet lukel.
13 And he would not let Maacah his mother be queen, because she had made a disgusting image for Asherah; and Asa had the image cut down and burned by the stream Kidron.
14 The high places, however, were not taken away: but still the heart of Asa was true to the Lord all his life.
Asa el finne tia kunausla nufon nien alu lun mwet pegan uh, tuh el srakna inse pwaye nu sin LEUM GOD in moul lal nufon.
15 He took into the house of the Lord all the things which his father had made holy, and those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels.
El likiya in Tempul kufwa nukewa ma papa tumal ah tuh kisakunla nu sin God, weang pac ma orekla ke gold ac silver ke ma el sifacna kisakunla.
16 Now there was war between Asa and Baasha, king of Israel, all their days.
Tokosra Asa lun Judah, ac tokosra Baasha lun Israel, eltal amweuni ke lusen pacl eltal tokosra.
17 And Baasha, king of Israel, went up against Judah, building Ramah, so that no one was able to go out or in to Asa, king of Judah.
Baasha el utyak mweuni acn Judah, ac mutawauk in kuhlusya acn Ramah in kosrala inkanek in ilyak ac illa liki acn Judah.
18 Then Asa took all the silver and gold which was still stored in the Lord's house, and in the king's house, and sent them, in the care of his servants, to Ben-hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Rezon, king of Aram, at Damascus, saying,
Ouinge Tokosra Asa el eis silver ac gold nukewa ma lula in Tempul ac in lohm sin tokosra, ac supwala kutu sin mwet kol lal in us som nu Damascus nu yorol Tokosra Benhadad lun Syria, wen natul Tabrimmon, wen natul Hezion, wi kas inge:
19 Let there be an agreement between me and you as there was between my father and your father: see, I have sent you an offering of silver and gold; go and put an end to your agreement with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may give up attacking me.
“Lela in oasr kupasr na ku inmasrlok kom, in oana akupasri inmasrlon papa tumuk ac papa tomom. Eis silver ac gold ingan mwe lung luk nu sum. Inge kunausla kupasr lom nu sel Tokosra Baasha lun Israel, tuh elan folokunla mwet mweun lal liki acn sik.”
20 So Ben-hadad did as King Asa said, and sent the captains of his armies against the towns of Israel, attacking Ijon and Dan and Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth as far as all the land of Naphtali.
Tokosra Benhadad el insese nu ke enenu lal Asa, ac supwala mwet kol fulat lun mwet mweun, ac un mwet mweun lalos, in som mweuni siti lun Israel. Elos sruokya acn Ijon, acn Dan, acn Abel Beth Maacah, acn apkuran nu ke Meoa Galilee, ac acn Naphtali nufon.
21 And Baasha, hearing of it, put a stop to the building of Ramah, and was living in Tirzah.
Ke Tokosra Baasha el lohng ke ma sikyak inge, el tila poti acn Ramah, ac el som nu Tirzah.
22 Then King Asa got all Judah together, making every man come; and they took away the stones and the wood with which Baasha was building Ramah, and King Asa made use of them for building Geba in the land of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
Na Tokosra Asa el supwalik sap ku nu in acn Judah nufon tuh mwet nukewa in kasru ac tella nufon eot ac sak ma Baasha el orekmakin in sang kuhlasak acn Ramah — wangin mwet ac tia wi. Asa el sang ma inge in kuhlasak acn Mizpah ac acn Geba. Geba pa sie siti in acn lun Benjamin.
23 Now the rest of the acts of Asa, and his power, and all he did, and the towns of which he was the builder, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah? But when he was old he had a disease of the feet.
24 So Asa went to rest with his fathers and was put into the earth in the town of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son became king in his place.
Asa el misa ac pukpuki inkulyuk lun tokosra in Siti sel David, ac Jehoshaphat, wen natul, el aolul in tokosra.
25 Nadab, the son of Jeroboam, became king over Israel in the second year that Asa was king of Judah; and he was king of Israel for two years.
In yac akluo ke pacl in leum lal Tokosra Asa in acn Judah, Nadab, wen natul Tokosra Jeroboam, el tokosrala lun Israel, ac el leum ke yac luo.
26 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, copying the evil ways of his father, and the sin which he did and made Israel do.
Nadab el orekma koluk lain LEUM GOD, ac kolla pac mwet Israel in oru ma koluk, oana papa tumal el oru meet lukel.
27 And Baasha, the son of Ahijah, of the family of Issachar, made a secret design against him, attacking him at Gibbethon, a town of the Philistines; for Nadab and the armies of Israel were making war on Gibbethon.
Baasha, wen natul Ahijah in sruf lal Issachar, el pwapa sulal lainul Nadab, ac unilya ke Nadab ac mwet mweun lal elos kuhlusya ac akola in mweuni siti Gibbethon in acn Philistia.
28 In the third year of the rule of Asa, king of Judah, Baasha put him to death, and became king in his place.
Ma inge sikyak ke yac aktolu in yac in leum lal Tokosra Asa lun Judah. Ouinge Baasha el aolulla Nadab in tokosra lun Israel.
29 And straight away when he became king, he sent destruction on all the offspring of Jeroboam; there was not one living person of all the family of Jeroboam whom he did not put to death, so the word of the Lord, which he said by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite, came about;
In pacl se na el tokosrala el mutawauk in onela mwet nukewa in sou lal Jeroboam. In oana ma LEUM GOD El tuh fahk nu sin mwet kulansap lal, Ahijah mwet palu Shiloh, mwet nukewa in sou lal Jeroboam anwuki, ac tiana sie lula.
30 Because of the sins which Jeroboam did and made Israel do, moving the Lord, the God of Israel, to wrath.
Sikyak ouinge mweyen Jeroboam el tuh purakak kasrkusrak lun LEUM GOD lun Israel ke ma koluk el orala, ac ke ma koluk ma el kolla mwet Israel in oru.
31 Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?
Ma saya nukewa ma Nadab el orala, simla oasr in [Sramsram Matu Ke Tokosra Lun Israel].
32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha, king of Israel, all their days.
Tokosra Asa lun Judah ac Tokosra Baasha lun Israel eltal amweuni sie sin sie ke lusen na pacl eltal tokosra.
33 In the third year of the rule of Asa, king of Judah, Baasha, the son of Ahijah, became king over all Israel in Tirzah, and was king for twenty-four years.
In yac aktolu ke pacl in leum lal Tokosra Asa lun Judah, Baasha, wen natul Ahijah, el tokosrala lun Israel nufon, ac el leum in Tirzah ke yac longoul akosr.
34 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, copying the evil ways of Jeroboam and the sin which he made Israel do.
El oru ma koluk lain LEUM GOD, ac kolla mwet Israel in oru pac ma koluk, in oana ke Tokosra Jeroboam el oru meet lukel.
