1 Chronicles 6

1 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

Fils de Lévi: Gersom, Caath et Mérari.

2 And the sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 And the sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Fils d’Amram: Aaron, Moïse et Marie. — Fils d’Aaron: Nadab, Abiu, Eléazar et Ithamar. —

4 Eleazar was the father of Phinehas; Phinehas was the father of Abishua;

Eléazar engendra Phinées; Phinées engendra Abisué;

5 And Abishua was the father of Bukki, and Bukki was the father of Uzzi,

Abisué engendra Bocci; Bocci engendra Ozi;

6 And Uzzi was the father of Zerahiah, and Zerahiah was the father of Meraioth;

Ozi engendra Zaraïas; Zaraïas engendra Méraïoth;

7 Meraioth was the father of Amariah, and Amariah was the father of Ahitub,

Méraïoth engendra Amarias; Amarias engendra Achitob;

8 And Ahitub was the father of Zadok, and Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz,

Achitob engendra Sadoc; Sadoc engendra Achimaas;

9 And Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, and Azariah was the father of Johanan,

Achimaas engendra Azarias; Azarias engendra Johanan;

10 And Johanan was the father of Azariah, (he was priest in the house which Solomon put up in Jerusalem: )

Johanan engendra Azarias: c’est lui qui exerça le sacerdoce dans la maison que Salomon bâtit à Jérusalem;

11 And Azariah was the father of Amariah, and Amariah was the father of Ahitub,

Azarias engendra Amarias; Amarias engendra Achitob;

12 And Ahitub was the father of Zadok, and Zadok was the father of Shallum,

Achitob engendra Sadoc; Sadoc engendra Sellum;

13 And Shallum was the father of Hilkiah, and Hilkiah was the father of Azariah,

Sellum engendra Helcias; Helcias engendra Azarias;

14 And Azariah was the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah was the father of Jehozadak;

Azarias engendra Saraïas; Saraïas engendra Josédec.

15 And Jehozadak went as a prisoner when the Lord took away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

Josédec partit pour l’exil quand Yahweh fil emmener en captivité Juda et Jérusalem par l’intermédiaire de Nabuchodonosor.

16 The sons of Levi; Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

Fils de Lévi: Gersom, Caath et Mérari. —

17 And these are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.

Voici les noms des fils de Gersom: Lobni et Séméï. —

18 And the sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

Fils de Caath: Amram, Isaar, Hébron et Oziel. —

19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites listed by the names of their fathers.

Fils de Mérari: Moholi et Musi. Voici les familles de Lévi selon leurs pères:

20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

De Gersom: Lobni, son fils; Jahath, son fils; Zamma, son fils;

21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son.

22 The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

Elcana, son fils; Abiasaph, son fils; Asir, son fils;

24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 And the sons of Elkanah: Amasai and Ahimoth.

27 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son, Samuel his son.

28 And the sons of Samuel: the oldest Joel, and the second Abiah.

29 The sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son,

30 Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

31 And these are those whom David made responsible for the music in the house of the Lord, after the ark had rest.

Voici ceux que David établit pour diriger le chant dans la maison de Yahweh, depuis que l’arche eut un lieu de repos:

32 They gave worship with songs before the House of the Tent of meeting, till Solomon put up the house of the Lord in Jerusalem; and they took their places for their work in their regular order.

ils remplirent les fonctions de chantres devant la Demeure de la tente de réunion, jusqu’à ce que Salomon eût bâti la maison de Yahweh à Jérusalem, et ils se tenaient à leur service selon leur règlement. —

33 And these are those who did this work, and their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman, who made melody, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

Voici ceux qui officiaient avec leurs fils: — D’entre les fils des Caathites: Héman, le chantre, fils de Joël, fils de Samuel,

34 The son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

fils d’Elcana, fils de Jéroham, fils d’Eliel, fils de Thohu,

35 The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

fils de Suph, fils d’Elcana, fils de Mahath, fils d’Amasaï,

36 The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

fils d’Elcana, fils de Joël, fils d’Azarias, fils de Sophonias,

37 The son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,

fils de Thahath, fils d’Asir, fils d’Abiasaph, fils de Coré,

38 The son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 And his brother Asaph, whose place was at his right hand, Asaph, the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea,

40 The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchijah,

41 The son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,

42 The son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

43 The son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.

44 And on the left their brothers, the sons of Merari: Ethan, the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

45 The son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,

fils de Hasabias, fils d’Amasias, fils de Helcias,

46 The son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer,

fils d’Amasaï, fils de Boni, fils de Somer,

47 The son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 And their brothers the Levites were responsible for all the work of the Tent of the house of God.

Leurs frères, les lévites, étaient chargés de tout le service du tabernacle de la maison de Yahweh.

49 But Aaron and his sons made offerings on the altar of burned offering, and on the altar of perfume, for all the work of the most holy place, and to take away the sin of Israel, doing everything ordered by Moses, the servant of God.

Mais Aaron et ses fils brûlaient les victimes sur l’autel des holocaustes et l’encens sur l’autel des parfums; ils avaient à remplir tout le ministère du saint des saints, et à faire l’expiation pour Israël, selon tout ce qu’avait ordonné Moïse, serviteur de Dieu.

50 And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

Voici les fils d’Aaron: Eléazar, son fils; Phinées, son fils; Abisué, son fils;

51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,

Bocci, son fils; Ozi, son fils; Zaraïas, son fils;

52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,

Méraïoth, son fils; Amarias, son fils; Achitob, son fils;

53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

Sadoc, son fils; Achimaas, son fils.

54 Now these are their living-places, the limits inside which they were to put up their tents: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, because they had the first selection,

55 To them they gave Hebron and its outskirts in the land of Judah;

on donna Hébron, dans le pays de Juda, et les pâturages qui l’entourent;

56 But the open country of the town, and the small places round it, they gave to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh.

mais on donna le territoire de la ville et ses villages à Caleb, fils de Jéphoné.

57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave Hebron, the town to which men might go in flight and be safe, and Libnah with its outskirts, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa with its outskirts,

On donna donc aux fils d’Aaron la ville de refuge Hébron, Lobna et ses pâturages,

58 And Hilen with its outskirts, Debir with its outskirts,

Jéther, Esthémo et ses pâturages, Hélon et ses pâturages, Dabir et ses pâturages,

59 And Ashan with its outskirts, and Beth-shemesh with its outskirts;

Asan et ses pâturages, Bethsémès et ses pâturages;

60 And from the tribe of Benjamin: Geba with its outskirts, and Alemeth with its outskirts, and Anathoth with its outskirts. All their towns among their families were thirteen towns.

de la tribu de Benjamin, Gabée et ses pâturages, Almath et ses pâturages, Anathoth et ses pâturages. Total de leurs villes: treize villes, d’après leurs familles.

61 And to the rest of the sons of Kohath there were given by the Lord's decision ten towns out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and out of the tribe of Dan and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh.

— Les autres fils de Caath eurent par le sort dix villes des familles de la tribu, de la demi-tribu de Manassé.

62 And to the sons of Gershom, by their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen towns.

Les fils de Gersom, d’après leurs familles, eurent treize villes de la tribu d’Issachar, de la tribu d’Aser, de la tribu de Nephthali et de la tribu de Manassé, en Basan.

63 And to the sons of Merari, by their families, twelve towns were given by the Lord's decision, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun.

Les fils de Mérari, d’après leurs familles, eurent par le sort douze villes de la tribu de Ruben, de la tribu de Gad et de la tribu de Zabulon.

64 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the towns with their outskirts.

Les enfants d’Israël donnèrent aux Lévites les villes et leurs pâturages.

65 And they gave by the Lord's decision out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these towns whose names are given.

Ils donnèrent par le sort, de la tribu des enfants de Juda, de la tribu des enfants de Siméon et de la tribu des enfants de Benjamin, ces villes qu’ils désignèrent par leurs noms.

66 And to the families of the sons of Kohath were given towns by the Lord's decision out of the tribe of Ephraim.

Pour les autres familles des fils de Caath, les villes qui leur échurent furent de la tribu d’Ephraïm.

67 And they gave them the town to which men might go in flight and be safe, Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim with its outskirts, and Gezer with its outskirts,

On leur donna: la ville de refuge Sichem et ses pâturages, dans la montagne d’Ephraïm, Gazer et ses pâturages,

68 And Jokmeam with its outskirts, and Beth-horon with its outskirts,

Jecmaam et ses pâturages, Bethoron et ses pâturages,

69 And Aijalon with its outskirts, and Gath-rimmon with its outskirts;

Hélon et ses pâturages, Geth-Remmon et ses pâturages;

70 And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner with its outskirts, and Bileam with its outskirts, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.

71 To the sons of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its outskirts, and Ashtaroth with its outskirts;

On donna aux fils de Gersom: de la famille de la demi-tribu de Manassé, Gaulon en Basan et ses pâturages, Astharoth et ses pâturages;

72 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh with its outskirts, and Daberath with its outskirts,

de la tribu d’Issachar, Cédès et ses pâturages, Dabéreth et ses pâturages,

73 And Ramoth with its outskirts, and Anem with its outskirts;

Ramoth et ses pâturages, Anem et ses pâturages;

74 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal with its outskirts, and Abdon with its outskirts,

75 And Hukok with its outskirts, and Rehob with its outskirts;

Hucac et ses pâturages, Rohob et ses pâturages;

76 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its outskirts, and Hammon with its outskirts, and Kiriathaim with its outskirts.

77 To the rest of the Levites, the sons of Merari, were given, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with its outskirts, Tabor with its outskirts;

On donna au reste des Lévites, aux fils de Mérari: de la tribu de Zabulon, Remmono et ses pâturages, Thabor et ses pâturages;

78 And on the other side of Jordan, at Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the waste land with its outskirts, and Jahzah with its outskirts,

de l’autre côté du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho, à l’orient du Jourdain: de la tribu de Ruben, Bosor, au désert, et ses pâturages, Jassa et ses pâturages,

79 And Kedemoth with its outskirts, and Mephaath with its outskirts;

Cadémoth et ses pâturages, Méphaat et ses pâturages;

80 And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its outskirts, and Mahanaim with its outskirts,

et de la tribu de Gad, Ramoth en Galaad et ses pâturages, Manaïm, et ses pâturages,

81 And Heshbon with its outskirts, and Jazer with its outskirts.

Hésebon et ses pâturages, Jézer et ses pâturages.
