1 Chronicles 13
1 Then David had discussions with the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds and with every chief.
தாவீது தனது ஆயிரம்பேருக்குத் தளபதிகளோடும், நூறுபேருக்குத் தளபதிகளோடும், ஒவ்வொரு அதிகாரிகளோடும் கலந்து ஆலோசனை பண்ணினான்.
2 And David said to all the men of Israel who had come together there, If it seems good to you and if it is the purpose of the Lord our God, let us send to all the rest of our brothers, everywhere in the land of Israel, and to the priests and the Levites in their towns and the country round them, and get them to come together here to us;
பின்பு தாவீது கூடியிருந்த எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலரிடமும், “இது உங்களுக்கு நல்லதாகவும், யெகோவாவாகிய இறைவனின் திட்டமாயும் இருந்தால், இஸ்ரயேல் எங்கும் வாழும் மீதமுள்ள எனது சகோதரர்களை எங்களுடன் வந்து சேரும்படி செய்தி அனுப்புவோம். அவர்களுடன் அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்களிலும் அதன் சுற்றுப்புறங்களிலும் வாழும் ஆசாரியருக்கும், லேவியர்களுக்கும் செய்தி அனுப்புவோம்.
3 And let us get back for ourselves the ark of our God: for in the days of Saul we did not go to it for directions.
அத்துடன் இறைவனது பெட்டியை திரும்பவும் நம்மிடம் கொண்டுவருவோம். ஏனெனில் சவுலின் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தில் நாம் புறக்கணித்தோம்” என்றான்.
4 And all the people said they would do so, for it seemed right to them.
இவை எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் சரியானதாகத் தெரிந்ததால் கூடியிருந்தவர்கள் எல்லோரும் அப்படியே செய்யச் சம்மதித்தார்கள்.
5 So David sent for all Israel to come together, from Shihor, the river of Egypt, as far as the way into Hamath, to get the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
எனவே தாவீது கீரியாத்யாரீமிலுள்ள இறைவனது பெட்டியைக் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக எகிப்திலுள்ள சீகார் ஆறுதொடங்கி, லேபோ ஆமாத் வரையுள்ள இஸ்ரயேலின் எல்லா மக்களையும் கூடிவரச் செய்தான்.
6 And David went up, with all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim in Judah, to get up from there the ark of God, over which the holy Name is named, the name of the Lord whose place is between the winged ones.
கேருபீன்களின் நடுவில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் யெகோவாவாகிய இறைவனின் பெயர் விளங்கும் பெட்டியை எடுத்து வருவதற்கு, தாவீதும் கூடியிருந்த எல்லா இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களும் யூதேயாவிலிருந்த கீரியாத்யாரீமுக்கடுத்த பாலாவுக்கு போனார்கள்.
7 And they put the ark of God on a new cart, and took it out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and Ahio were the drivers of the cart.
ஊசாவும் அகியோவும் வழிகாட்ட அவர்கள் இறைவனின் பெட்டியை அபினதாபின் வீட்டிலிருந்து ஒரு புது வண்டியில் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்.
8 Then David and all Israel made melody before God with all their strength, with songs and corded instruments of music, and with brass instruments and horns.
தாவீதும் எல்லா இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களும் பாடல்களோடும், யாழோடும், மத்தளங்களோடும், கைத்தாளத்தோடும், எக்காளத்தோடும் இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக தங்கள் முழு பலத்தோடும் பாடிக் கொண்டாடினார்கள்.
9 And when they came to the grain-floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to keep the ark in its place, for the oxen were slipping.
அவர்கள் கீதோனிலுள்ள சூடடிக்கும் களத்திற்கு வந்தபோது, மாடுகள் மிரண்டதினால், ஊசா தனது கையை நீட்டி பெட்டி விழுந்துவிடாதபடி பிடித்தான்.
10 And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzza, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there before God.
ஊசா பெட்டியைத் தன் கையினால் தொட்டபடியினால் யெகோவாவின் கோபம் அவனுக்கு எதிராகப் பற்றியெரிந்தது. அதனால் அவர் ஊசாவை அடித்தார். அவன் அந்த இடத்திலே இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக இறந்தான்.
11 And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzza, and he gave that place the name Perez-uzza, to this day.
அவ்வாறு யெகோவாவின் கோபம் ஊசாவை அடித்ததினால் தாவீது கோபப்பட்டு, அந்த இடத்திற்கு இந்நாள்வரை வழங்கிவருகிறபடி, பேரேஸ் ஊசா என்று பெயரிட்டான்.
12 And so great was David's fear of God that day, that he said, How may I let the ark of God come to me?
தாவீது அன்றையதினம் இறைவனுக்குப் பயந்து, “நான் எப்படி இறைவனின் பெட்டியை என்னிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவருவேன்” எனக் கூறினான்.
13 So David did not let the ark come back to him to the town of David, but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
எனவே அவன் பெட்டியைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்திற்கு எடுத்துச் செல்லவில்லை. அதற்குப் பதிலாக கித்தியனான ஓபேத் ஏதோமின் வீட்டிற்குக் கொண்டுபோனான்.
14 And the ark of God was in the house of Obed-edom for three months; and the Lord sent a blessing on the house of Obed-edom and on all he had.
இறைவனது பெட்டி ஓபேத் ஏதோமின் குடும்ப இல்லத்தில் மூன்று மாதங்கள் இருந்தது. யெகோவா ஓபேத் ஏதோமின் குடும்பத்தையும், அவனுக்குள்ள எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.
