Zephaniah 2
1 Gather yourselves, gather together, O shameful nation,
ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಜನಾಂಗದವರೇ, ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನೀವು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,
2 before the decree takes effect and the day passes like chaff, before the burning anger of the LORD comes upon you, before the Day of the LORD’s anger comes upon you.
ತೀರ್ಪು ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮುಂಚೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದಿನವು ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆ ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಉಗ್ರಕೋಪವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವ ಮುಂಚೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪದ ದಿನವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವ ಮುಂಚೆ,
3 Seek the LORD, all you humble of the earth who carry out His justice. Seek righteousness; seek humility. Perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the LORD’s anger.
ದೇಶದ ದೀನರೇ, ಅವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೇ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ. ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ, ವಿನಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ.
4 For Gaza will be abandoned, and Ashkelon left in ruins. Ashdod will be driven out at noon, and Ekron will be uprooted.
ಗಾಜವು ಕೈಬಿಡಲಾಗುವುದು; ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನ್ ಹಾಳಾಗುವುದು; ಅಷ್ಡೋದನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಖಾಲಿಮಾಡುವರು, ಎಕ್ರೋನ್ ಕಿತ್ತೆಸೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
5 Woe to the dwellers of the seacoast, O nation of the Cherethites! The word of the LORD is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you, and no one will be left.”
ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಕರಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಕೆರೇತ್ಯ ಜನಾಂಗವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ಕಾನಾನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ದೇಶವೇ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ, “ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಯೇ ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
6 So the seacoast will become a land of pastures, with wells for shepherds and folds for sheep.
ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತೀರವು ಕುರುಬರು ಮೇಯಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಕುಂಟೆಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಕುರಿಹಟ್ಟಿಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದು.
7 The coast will belong to the remnant of the house of Judah; there they will find pasture. They will lie down in the evening among the houses of Ashkelon, for the LORD their God will attend to them and restore their captives.
ಅದು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮನೆತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರ ವಶವಾಗುವುದು. ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೇಯಿಸುವರು. ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನಿನ ಮನೆತನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರಿಪಾಲಿಸಿ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ತರುವರು.
8 “I have heard the reproach of Moab and the insults of the Ammonites, who have taunted My people and threatened their borders.
“ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ಬೈಗಳವನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ನಿಂದಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
9 Therefore, as surely as I live,” declares the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, “surely Moab will be like Sodom and the Ammonites like Gomorrah— a place of weeds and salt pits, a perpetual wasteland. The remnant of My people will plunder them; the remainder of My nation will dispossess them.”
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ,” “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮೋವಾಬು ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರು ಗೊಮೋರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗುವುದು. ತುರುಚಿ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವಂಥ ಉಪ್ಪಿನ ಕುಳಿಗಳುಳ್ಳಂಥ ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗುವರು. ನನ್ನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುಲಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ನನ್ನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವರು ಅವರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.”
10 This they shall have in return for their pride, for taunting and mocking the people of the LORD of Hosts.
ಅವರು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರ ಗರ್ವಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇದೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು.
11 The LORD will be terrifying to them when He starves all the gods of the earth. Then the nations of every shore will bow in worship to Him, each in its own place.
ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿರುವರು. ಇತರ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ದ್ವೀಪಗಳವರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವರು.
12 “You too, O Cushites, will be slain by My sword.”
ಕೂಷ್ ದೇಶದವರೇ, ನೀವೂ ಸಹ ನನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾಗುವಿರಿ.
13 And He will stretch out His hand against the north and destroy Assyria; He will make Nineveh a desolation, as dry as a desert.
ಅವರು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚಿ, ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ನಿನೆವೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಂತೆ ಒಣಗಿದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವರು.
14 Herds will lie down in her midst, creatures of every kind. Both the desert owl and screech owl will roost atop her pillars. Their calls will sound from the window, but desolation will lie on the threshold, for He will expose the beams of cedar.
ಅದು ದನಗಳ ಹಿಂಡುಗಳಿಗೂ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಮಲಗುವ ಹಟ್ಟಿ ಆಗುವುದು, ಅದರ ಹಾಳುಬಿದ್ದ ಮನೆಯ ಕಂಬಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೂಬೆಗಳೂ, ಗುಬ್ಬಚ್ಚಿಗಳೂ ತಂಗುವುವು. ಗೂಬೆಯ ಘೂಂಕಾರವು ಕಿಟಕಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿಬರುವುದು, ಕಾಗೆಗಳ ಕೂಗು ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲಲ್ಲೇ ಕೇಳುವುದು, ದೇವದಾರು ಮರದ ತೊಲೆಗಳು ಕಳಚಿಬೀಳುವುವು.
15 This carefree city that dwells securely, that thinks to herself: “I am it, and there is none besides me,” what a ruin she has become, a resting place for beasts. Everyone who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.
“ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದಂಥ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ನಾನೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲಾ,” ಎಂದು ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡಂಥ ಸುಭದ್ರ ನಿನೆವೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಇದೇ. ಅದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು; ಮೃಗಗಳು ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಯಿತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಂದಿಸಿ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವರು.
