< Zechariah 7 >
1 In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
Darius siangpahrang saning palito haih, Kislev khrah, khrah takawtto, ni palito niah Angraeng ih lok to Zekariah khaeah angzoh;
2 Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech, along with their men, to plead before the LORD
Bethel ih kaminawk mah Sharezer, Regeem Melek hoi angmah ih kaminawk to Angraeng hma ah lawkthuih hanah, Sithaw im ah patoeh o moe,
3 by asking the priests of the house of the LORD of Hosts, as well as the prophets, “Should I weep and fast in the fifth month, as I have done these many years?”
misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng imthung ih qaima hoi tahmaanawk khaeah, Saning pop parai ka sak o ih baktih toengah, khrah pangato naah palungset hoi buh zahhaih to ka sak o han maw? tiah lok dueng o sak.
4 Then the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,
To naah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
5 “Ask all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for these seventy years, was it really for Me that you fasted?
prae thung ih kaminawk hoi qaimanawk boih khaeah, Khrah pangato haih hoi khrah sarihto haih naah, palungsethaih hoiah buhzahhaih to na sak o, saning qui sarihto thung na sak o ih buhzahhaih loe, kai han ih maw buh na zah o? tiah thui paeh.
6 And when you were eating and drinking, were you not doing so simply for yourselves?
Na caak o moe, na naek o naah, nangmacae han ih na ai maw na caak o moe, na naek o?
7 Are these not the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were populous and prosperous, and the Negev and the foothills were inhabited?’”
Kaminawk loe aloih bang ih ahmuen hoi tangtling ah khosak o, Jerusalem hoi a taeng ih vangpuinawk doeh kamong ah oh o moe, khosak hoih o naah, canghni ih tahmaanawk khaeah Angraeng mah thuih ih lok to na tahngai o ai maw? tiah lok angzoh.
8 Then the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,
Angraeng ih lok Zekariah khaeah angzoh,
9 “This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Administer true justice. Show loving devotion and compassion to one another.
misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah, Kahoih toeghaih to sah oh, maeto hoi maeto nuiah palungnathaih hoi amlunghaih to amtueng o sak ah:
10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’

11 But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they stopped up their ears from hearing.
Toe nihcae mah tahngai han koeh o ai, palaeng to hnuk bangah paqoi o moe, thaih han ai ah naa to tamuep o.
12 They made their hearts like flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the LORD of Hosts had sent by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of Hosts.
Ue, nihcae loe palungthin thlung baktiah amtak o sak, to tih ai nahaeloe misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah angmah ih Muithla hoiah canghnii ah angmah ih tahmaanawk khaeah paek ih lok hoi thuih ih loknawk to nihcae mah tahngai o moeng tih: to pongah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng khae hoiah kanung parai palungphuihaih to angzoh.
13 And just as I had called and they would not listen, so when they called I would not listen, says the LORD of Hosts.
Ka kawk naah, nihcae mah tahngai o ai; to pongah nihcae mah ang kawk o naah, ka tahngai pae mak ai, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih.
14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known, and the land was left desolate behind them so that no one could come or go. Thus they turned the pleasant land into a desolation.”
Toe nihcae mah panoek ai ih prae kaminawk salakah nihcae to takhi kamhae hoiah kang haehsak phang. To pongah prae loe pongsut, caeh kami hoi amlaem kami doeh om ai. Nihcae mah kahoih prae to amro o sak boeh, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih.
