< Zechariah 10 >

1 Ask the LORD for rain in springtime; the LORD makes the storm clouds, and He will give everyone showers of rain and crops in the field.
Mou kole ʻae ʻuha meia Sihova, ʻI he māhina ʻoe ʻuha mui; pea pehē, ʻe ngaohi ʻe Sihova ʻae ʻuhila, mo ne foaki ʻae ʻuha lahi kiate kinautolu, ki he tangata taki taha ʻae mohuku ʻi he ngoue.
2 For idols speak deceit and diviners see illusions; they tell false dreams and offer empty comfort. Therefore the people wander like sheep, oppressed for lack of a shepherd.
He ko e vaʻinga ʻae lea ʻae ngaahi tamapua, pea kuo mamata ʻae kau kikite ki he loi, pea kuo nau fakamatala ʻae ngaahi misi loi; ʻoku taʻeʻaonga ʻenau fakafiemālie: ko ia naʻa nau ʻalu hē ʻo hangē ha fanga manu, naʻa nau puputuʻu, koeʻuhi naʻe ʻikai ha tauhi.
3 “My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders. For the LORD of Hosts attends to His flock, the house of Judah; He will make them like His royal steed in battle.
Naʻe tafutafu ʻeku houhau ki he kau tauhi, pea naʻaku tautea ʻae fanga kosi: he kuo ʻaʻahi ʻe he ʻOtua ʻakinautolu, ʻoku ne tauhi ʻi he fale ʻo Siuta, pea kuo ne ngaohi ʻakinautolu, ke hangē ko ha hoosi lelei ki he tau.
4 The cornerstone will come from Judah, the tent peg from him, as well as the battle bow and every ruler together.
Naʻe meiate ia ʻae maka-tuliki, naʻe meiate ia ʻae faʻo, naʻe meiate ia ʻae kaufana ki he tau, pea ʻe haʻu fakataha meiate ia ʻae pule kotoa pē.
5 They will be like mighty men in battle, trampling the enemy in the mire of the streets. They will fight because the LORD is with them, and they will put the horsemen to shame.
Pea te nau hangē ko e kau tangata mālohi, ʻoku malamalaki hifo [honau fili ]ʻi he pelepela ʻoe ngaahi hala, ʻoka fai ʻae tau: pea te nau tau, koeʻuhi ʻoku ʻiate kinautolu ʻa Sihova, pea te nau fakamaaʻi ʻae kau heka hoosi.
6 I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them, and they will be as though I had not rejected them. For I am the LORD their God, and I will answer them.
“Pea te u tokoni mālohi ʻae fale ʻo Siuta, pea te u fakamoʻui ʻae fale ʻo Siosefa, pea te u ʻomi ʻakinautolu, mo toe fakanofo ʻakinautolu; koeʻuhi ko ʻeku ʻofa kiate kinautolu: pea te nau hangē naʻe ʻikai te u liʻaki ʻakinautolu: he ko au, ko Sihova, ko honau ʻOtua, pea te u fanongo kiate kinautolu.
7 Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD.
Pea ʻe tatau ʻakinautolu ʻi ʻIfalemi, mo ha taha mālohi, pea ʻe fiefia honau loto ʻo hangē ko ha meʻa ʻi he uaine; ʻio, ʻe mamata ki ai ʻenau fānau pea nau fiefia: ʻe nekeneka honau loto ʻia Sihova.
8 I will whistle for them to gather, for I have redeemed them; and they will be as numerous as they once were.
Te u fakaʻiseʻisa koeʻuhi ko kinautolu, pea u tānaki ʻakinautolu; he kuo u huhuʻi ʻakinautolu, pea te nau tupu ʻo hangē ko ʻenau faʻa tupu.
9 Though I sow them among the nations, they will remember Me in distant lands; they and their children will live and return.
Pea te u tūtuuʻi ʻakinautolu ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe kakai; pea te nau manatuʻi au, ʻi he ngaahi fonua mamaʻo; pea ʻe moʻui ʻakinautolu, pea mo ʻenau fānau, pea ʻe toe tafoki mai.
10 I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon until no more room is found for them.
Te u toe ʻomi ʻakinautolu foki mei he fonua ko ʻIsipite, mo tānaki ʻakinautolu mei ʻAsilia; pea te u ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki he fonua ko Kiliati, mo Lepanoni, pea ʻe ʻikai ha potu ʻe maʻu ke nau hao ai.
11 They will pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves of the sea; all the depths of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
Pea ʻe ʻalu atu ia ʻi tahi ʻi he mamahi, pea ʻe taaʻi ʻae ngaahi peau ʻoe tahi, pea ʻe fakamōmoa ʻae ngaahi loloto ʻoe vaitafe: pea ʻe fakahifo ki lalo ʻae fielahi ʻo ʻAsilia, pea ʻe mole atu ʻae tokotoko ʻoe pule mei ʻIsipite.
12 I will strengthen them in the LORD, and in His name they will walk,”
Pea te u fakamālohi ʻakinautolu ʻia Sihova; pea te nau feʻaluʻaki fano ʻi hono huafa,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.
