Romans 15
1 We who are strong ought to bear with the shortcomings of the weak and not to please ourselves.
Aqueles entre nós que são espiritualmente fortes devem apoiar os que são espiritualmente fracos. Nós não devemos apenas nos agradar.
2 Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
Todos nós devemos incentivar outras pessoas a fazerem o que é moralmente certo, para que elas se fortaleçam.
3 For even Christ did not please Himself, but as it is written: “The insults of those who insult You have fallen on Me.”
Cristo não viveu para agradar a si mesmo, mas está escrito nas Sagradas Escrituras sobre ele: “Os insultos daqueles que o insultaram caíram sobre mim.”
4 For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.
Isso foi escrito no passado para nos ajudar a compreender e para nos encorajar a ter esperança, por meio da paciência.
5 Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you harmony with one another in Christ Jesus,
Que o Deus que dá paciência e coragem os ajude a viver em completa harmonia uns com os outros, seguindo o exemplo de Cristo Jesus.
6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Assim, vocês podem, com um só pensamento e uma só voz, glorificar a Deus, o Pai do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo!
7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring glory to God.
Então, aceitem uns aos outros, exatamente como Cristo os aceitou e deem glória a Deus.
8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs,
Eu afirmo que Cristo veio como um servo para os judeus, para mostrar que Deus diz a verdade, mantendo as promessas que ele fez aos patriarcas dos judeus.
9 so that the Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to Your name.”
Ele também veio para que os não-judeus pudessem louvar a Deus, para pedir misericórdia, como as Sagradas Escrituras dizem: “Portanto, eu o louvarei entre os não-judeus. Eu cantarei louvores ao seu nome.”
10 Again, it says: “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.”
E também: “Não-judeus, comemorem com o seu povo!”
11 And again: “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and extol Him, all you peoples.”
E de novo: “Todos vocês, não-judeus, louvem ao Senhor! Vamos deixar que todos os povos o louvem.”
12 And once more, Isaiah says: “The Root of Jesse will appear, One who will arise to rule over the Gentiles; in Him the Gentiles will put their hope.”
E Isaías diz: “O descendente de Jessé virá para governar as nações, e os não-judeus terão esperança nele.”
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Que o Deus da esperança os preencha completamente com toda a alegria e a paz, por sua fé nele, para que vocês transbordem de esperança, por meio do poder do Espírito Santo!
14 I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, brimming with knowledge, and able to instruct one another.
Eu tenho certeza de que vocês, meus irmãos e minhas irmãs, são muito bondosos e que têm muito conhecimento. Então, são totalmente capazes de ensinar uns aos outros.
15 However, I have written you a bold reminder on some points, because of the grace God has given me
Eu tenho sido direto no modo como escrevo a vocês a respeito de algumas dessas coisas, mas é apenas para que se lembrem de coisas que já sabem. Pois Deus me deu o privilégio
16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
de trabalhar por Cristo Jesus junto aos não-judeus. Eu sirvo a Jesus como um sacerdote que compartilha as boas novas de Deus, para que os não-judeus possam se tornar uma oferta que Deus aceite, santificados pelo Espírito Santo.
17 Therefore I exult in Christ Jesus in my service to God.
Então, mesmo que eu tenha algo para me orgulhar por causa do serviço que faço para Deus,
18 I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed,
eu não ousaria falar sobre isso, a não ser sobre o que Cristo realizou por meu intermédio. E eu tenho conseguido fazer com que os não-judeus obedeçam a Deus por meio dos meus ensinamentos e das minhas ações,
19 by the power of signs and wonders, and by the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
pelo poder dos sinais e dos milagres feitos com o poder do Espírito Santo. Desde Jerusalém, passando por todo o caminho até a província da Ilíria, em todos os lugares eu anunciei de forma plena o evangelho de Cristo.
20 In this way I have aspired to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.
Na verdade, eu estava ansioso para divulgar as boas novas em lugares onde ainda não se falou sobre Cristo, para que eu não construísse onde outros já haviam construído.
21 Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about Him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
Como está escrito nas Sagradas Escrituras: “Aqueles a quem ainda não foi falado sobre as boas novas saberão sobre ele. E aqueles que ainda não ouviram, entenderão.”
22 That is why I have often been hindered from coming to you.
É por isso que eu fui impedido tantas vezes de ir visitá-los.
23 But now that there are no further opportunities for me in these regions, and since I have longed for many years to visit you,
Agora, como não há aqui parte alguma onde eu precise trabalhar e já que aguardo ansiosamente a oportunidade de visitá-los por tanto tempo,
24 I hope to see you on my way to Spain. And after I have enjoyed your company for a while, you can equip me for my journey.
espero poder fazer isso quando eu for para a Espanha. Talvez vocês possam me ajudar em minha viagem, depois de termos passado um tempo juntos.
25 Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem to serve the saints there.
No momento, eu estou indo a Jerusalém, para ajudar os irmãos de lá,
26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
pois os cristãos da Macedônia e da província da Acaia acharam uma boa ideia enviar uma contribuição aos irmãos de Jerusalém que se encontram em necessidade.
27 They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings.
Eles ficaram felizes ao fazerem isso, pois se sentem em dívida com os irmãos judeus. Agora que os não-judeus estão compartilhando os benefícios espirituais dos judeus, eles devem ajudar os irmãos judeus, doando coisas materiais a eles.
28 So after I have completed this service and have safely delivered this bounty to them, I will set off to Spain by way of you.
Então, assim que eu tiver terminado esse trabalho e tiver entregado, de forma segura, essa contribuição a eles, eu os visitarei quando estiver a caminho da Espanha.
29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

30 Now I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.
Peço a vocês, meus irmãos e minhas irmãs, pelo nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo e pelo amor do Espírito, para que se reúnam e orem com fervor por mim.
31 Pray that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there,
Orem para que eu possa ser mantido a salvo daqueles que não creem, quando eu estiver na Judeia. Orem para que o meu trabalho em Jerusalém seja bem recebido pelos irmãos de lá.
32 so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed.
Orem para que eu vá até vocês, cheio de alegria, se for a vontade de Deus, para que assim possamos aproveitar a companhia uns dos outros.
33 The God of peace be with all of you. Amen.
Que a paz de Deus esteja com todos vocês! Amém!
