Romans 14
1 Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on his opinions.
௧விசுவாசத்தில் பலவீனமாக உள்ளவனைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவனுடைய மன சந்தேகங்களைக் குற்றமாக தீர்மானிக்காமல் இருங்கள்.
2 For one person has faith to eat all things, while another, who is weak, eats only vegetables.
௨ஒருவன் எந்த உணவுப்பொருளையும் சாப்பிடலாம் என்று நம்புகிறான்; பலவீனமாக உள்ளவனோ காய்கறிகளைமட்டும் சாப்பிடுகிறான்.
3 The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him.
௩சாப்பிடுகிறவன் சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்கிறவனை அற்பமாக நினைக்காமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்கிறவனும் சாப்பிடுகிறவனைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்காமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; தேவன் அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டாரே.
4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
௪மற்றொருவனுடைய வேலைக்காரனைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கிறதற்கு நீ யார்? அவன் நின்றாலும் விழுந்தாலும் அவனுடைய முதலாளிக்கே அவன் பொறுப்பாளி; அவன் நிலைநிறுத்தப்படுவான்; தேவன் அவனை நிலைநிறுத்த வல்லவராக இருக்கிறாரே.
5 One person regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
௫அன்றியும், ஒருவன் ஒருநாளைவிட மற்றொரு நாள் சிறந்தது என்று நினைக்கிறான்; வேறொருவன் எல்லா நாட்களையும் சமமாக நினைக்கிறான்; அவனவன் தன்தன் மனதிலே முழு நிச்சயத்தை உடையவனாக இருக்கட்டும்.
6 He who observes a special day does so to the Lord; he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
௬நாட்களை சிறப்பாக்கிக்கொள்கிறவன் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சிறப்பாக்கிக் கொள்கிறான்; நாட்களை சிறப்பாக்கிக் கொள்ளாதவனும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சிறப்பாக்கிக் கொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறான். சாப்பிடுகிறவன் தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்துகிறபடியால், கர்த்தருக்கென்று சாப்பிடுகிறான்; சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்கிறவனும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சாப்பிடாமல், தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்துகிறான்.
7 For none of us lives to himself alone, and none of us dies to himself alone.
௭நம்மில் ஒருவனும் தனக்கென்று பிழைக்கிறதும் இல்லை, ஒருவனும் தனக்கென்று மரிக்கிறதும் இல்லை.
8 If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
௮நாம் பிழைத்தாலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று பிழைக்கிறோம், நாம் மரித்தாலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று மரிக்கிறோம்; எனவே, பிழைத்தாலும் மரித்தாலும் நாம் கர்த்தருடையவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம்.
9 For this reason Christ died and returned to life, that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
௯கிறிஸ்துவும் மரித்தவர்களுக்கும், ஜீவனுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் ஆண்டவராக இருப்பதற்காக, மரித்தும், உயிரோடு எழுந்தும், பிழைத்தும் இருக்கிறார்.
10 Why, then, do you judge your brother? Or why do you belittle your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.
௧0இப்படியிருக்க, நீ உன் சகோதரனைக் குற்றவாளி என்று தீர்க்கிறது என்ன? நீ உன் சகோதரனை அற்பமாக நினைக்கிறது என்ன? நாமெல்லோரும் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய நியாயாசனத்திற்கு முன்பாக நிற்போமே.
11 It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.”
௧௧அப்படியே: “முழங்கால்கள் எல்லாம் எனக்கு முன்பாக முடங்கும், நாக்குகள் எல்லாம் தேவனை அறிக்கைப்பண்ணும் என்று என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு உரைக்கிறேன்” என்பதாகக் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
12 So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
௧௨எனவே, நம்மில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன்னைக்குறித்து தேவனுக்குக் கணக்கு ஒப்புவிப்பான்.
13 Therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.
௧௩இப்படியிருக்க, நாம் இனிமேல் ஒருவரையொருவர் குற்றவாளிகள் என்று தீர்க்காமல் இருப்போமாக. ஒருவனும் தன் சகோதரனுக்கு முன்பாகத் தடையையும் இடறலையும் போடக்கூடாது என்று தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
14 I am convinced and fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.
௧௪எந்தப்பொருளும் தன்னில்தானே தீட்டானவைகள் இல்லை என்று கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவிற்குள் அறிந்து நிச்சயித்திருக்கிறேன்; ஒரு பொருளைத் தீட்டானது என்று நினைக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவனுக்கு அது தீட்டானதாக இருக்கும்.
15 If your brother is distressed by what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother, for whom Christ died.
௧௫ஆகாரத்தினாலே உன் சகோதரனுக்கு விசனம் உண்டாக்கினால், நீ அன்பாக நடக்கிறவன் இல்லை; அவனை உன் ஆகாரத்தினாலே கெடுக்காதே, கிறிஸ்து அவனுக்காக மரித்தாரே.
16 Do not allow what you consider good, then, to be spoken of as evil.
௧௬உங்களுடைய நல்ல செயல்கள் அவமதிக்கப்பட இடங்கொடுக்காமல் இருங்கள்.
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
௧௭தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சாப்பிடுவதும் குடிப்பதும் இல்லை, அது நீதியும் சமாதானமும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் உண்டாகும் சந்தோஷமாகவும் இருக்கிறது.
18 For whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
௧௮இவைகளிலே கிறிஸ்துவிற்கு ஊழியம் செய்கிறவன் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமானவனும் மனிதனால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டவனுமாக இருக்கிறான்.
19 So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
௧௯எனவே, சமாதானத்திற்குரியவைகளையும், ஐக்கிய பக்திவளர்ச்சியை உண்டாக்கக்கூடியவைகளையும் நாடுவோம்.
20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to let his eating be a stumbling block.
௨0ஆகாரத்திற்காக தேவனுடைய செயல்களை அழித்துப்போடாதே. எந்த உணவுப்பொருளும் சுத்தமானதுதான்; ஆனாலும் இடறல் உண்டாகச் சாப்பிடுகிறவனுக்கு அது தீமையாக இருக்கும்.
21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything to cause your brother to stumble.
௨௧இறைச்சி சாப்பிடுவதும், மதுபானம் அருந்துகிறதும், வேறு எதையாவது செய்கிறதும், உன் சகோதரன் இடறுவதற்கோ, தவறுவதற்கோ, பலவீனப்படுகிறதற்கோ காரணமாக இருந்தால், அவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் செய்யாமல் இருப்பதே நன்மையாக இருக்கும்.
22 Keep your belief about such matters between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
௨௨உனக்கு விசுவாசம் இருந்தால் அது தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக உனக்குள்மட்டும் இருக்கட்டும். நல்லது என்று நிச்சயித்த விஷயத்தில் தன்னைக் குற்றவாளியாக்காதவன் பாக்கியவான்.
23 But the one who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.
௨௩ஒருவன் சந்தேகத்துடன் சாப்பிட்டால், அவன் விசுவாசம் இல்லாமல் சாப்பிடுகிறதினால், தண்டனைக்குரியவனாகத் தீர்க்கப்படுகிறான். விசுவாசத்தினாலே வராத எதுவும் பாவமே.
