Revelation 8
1 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
第七の封印を解き給ひたれば、凡そ半時のあひだ天 靜なりき。
2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.
われ神の前に立てる七人の御使を見たり、彼らは七つのラッパを與へられたり。
3 Then another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.
また他の一人の御使、金の香爐を持ちきたりて祭壇の前に立ち、多くの香を與へられたり。これは凡ての聖徒の祈に加へて、御座の前なる金の香壇の上に献げんためなり。
4 And the smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, rose up before God from the hand of the angel.
而して香の煙、御使の手より聖徒たちの祈とともに神の前に上れり。
5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it to the earth; and there were peals of thunder, and rumblings, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
御使その香爐をとり、之に祭壇の火を盛りて地に投げたれば、數多の雷霆と聲と電光と、また地震おこれり。
6 And the seven angels with the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
ここに七つのラッパをもてる七人の御使これを吹く備をなせり。
7 Then the first angel sounded his trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, along with a third of the trees and all the green grass.
第一の御使ラッパを吹きしに、血の混りたる雹と火とありて、地にふりくだり、地の三分の一 燒け失せ、樹の三分の一 燒け失せ、もろもろの青 草 燒け失せたり。
8 Then the second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood,
第二の御使ラッパを吹きしに、火にて燃ゆる大なる山の如きもの海に投げ入れられ、海の三分の一 血に變じ、
9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
海の中の造られたる生命あるものの三分の一 死に、船の三分の一 滅びたり。
10 Then the third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star burning like a torch fell from heaven and landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
第三の御使ラッパを吹きしに、燈火のごとく燃ゆる大なる星、天より隕ちきたり、川の三分の一と水の源泉との上におちたり。
11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter like wormwood oil, and many people died from the bitter waters.
この星の名は苦艾といふ。水の三分の一は苦艾となり、水の苦くなりしに因りて多くの人 死にたり。
12 Then the fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun and moon and stars were struck. A third of the stars were darkened, a third of the day was without light, and a third of the night as well.
第四の御使ラッパを吹きしに、日の三分の一と月の三分の一と星の三分の一と撃たれて、その三分の一は暗くなり、晝も三分の一は光なく、夜も亦おなじ。
13 And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the remaining three angels!”
また見しに、一つの鷲の中空を飛び、大なる聲して言ふを聞けり。曰く『地に住める者どもは禍害なるかな、禍害なるかな、禍害なるかな、尚ほかに三人の御使の吹かんとするラッパの聲あるに因りてなり』
