Revelation 7
1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back its four winds so that no wind would blow on land or sea or on any tree.
第四款 中間の二の出現 其後我、四の天使地の四隅に立てるを見しが、彼等は地の四方の風を引止め、地上にも海上にも如何なる樹の上にも吹かざらしめんとせり。
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, with the seal of the living God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:
此外に又一の天使、活き給へる神の印を持ちて東より上るを見たり。此天使、海陸を害する事を許されたる四の天使に聲高く呼はりて、
3 “Do not harm the land or sea or trees until we have sealed the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
言ひけるは、我等我神の僕等の額に印するまで、海にも陸にも樹木にも触るること勿れ、と。
4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel:
斯て我、イスラエルの子等の諸族中印せられたる者の數を聞きしに、印せられたる者十四萬四千人、
5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
即ちユダ族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、ルベン族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、ガド族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、
6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
アゼル族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、ネフタリ族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、マナッセ族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、
7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
シメオン族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、レヴィ族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、イッサカアル族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、
8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, and from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
ザブロン族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、ヨゼフ族の中にて一萬二千人印せられ、ベンヤミン族の中にて一萬二千人印せられたるなり。
9 After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.
其後我、誰も數ふる事能はざる大群衆を見しが、諸國、諸族、諸民、諸語の中よりして、白き衣を着し、手に棕櫚の葉を持ちて、玉座の前、羔の目前に立ち、
10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
聲高く呼はりて言ひけるは、救霊は玉座に坐し給ふ我神及び羔に歸す、と。
11 And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,
玉座と翁等と四の動物との周圍に立ち居たりし天使一同、玉座の前に平伏し、神を禮拝し奉りて、
12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” (aiōn g165)
言ひけるは、アメン、祝福と光榮と、叡智と感謝と、尊貴と能力と、世々に限なく我神に歸す、アメン、と。 (aiōn g165)
13 Then one of the elders addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are they, and where have they come from?”
時に翁の一人答へて我に謂ひけるは、白き衣を着せる此人々は誰なるぞ、何處より來れるぞ、と。
14 “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” So he replied, “These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
我、我君よ、汝こそ知れるなれ、と言ひしに翁我に謂ひけるは、此人々は大いなる患難より來り、羔の血に己が衣を洗ひて白く為したる者なり。
15 For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.
故に神の玉座の前に在りて、其[聖]殿に於て日夜之に事へ奉り、又玉座に坐し給ふものは、彼等の上に幕屋を張り給ふべし。
16 ‘Never again will they hunger, and never will they thirst; nor will the sun beat down upon them, nor any scorching heat.’
彼等最早飢渇く事なかるべく、日光も熱氣も彼等に中るべからず、
17 For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd. ‘He will lead them to springs of living water,’ and ‘God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”
其は玉座の正面に在せる羔彼等を牧して、之を生命の水の源に導き給ひ、神は彼等の目より凡ての涙を拭ひ給ふべければなり、と。
