Psalms 1

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers.

ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ, ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರ ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ,

2 But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಗಲು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬದುಕುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.

ಅಂಥವರು ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಟ್ಟಿರುವ, ಮರದ ಹಾಗಿರುವರು. ಅಂಥ ಮರವು ತಕ್ಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಅದರ ಎಲೆ ಉದುರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಂತೆ ಅವರು ಮಾಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಫಲವಾಗುವುದು.

4 Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind.

ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ! ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟರು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವರು, ಪಾಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

6 For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸುವುದು.
