Psalms 95

1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!

Oh pridite, zapojmo Gospodu. Naredimo radosten glas skali rešitve naše duše.

2 Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song.

Pridimo pred njegovo prisotnost z zahvaljevanjem in s psalmi mu naredimo radosten zvok.

3 For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.

Kajti Gospod je velik Bog in velik Kralj nad vsemi bogovi.

4 In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him.

V njegovi roki so globoki kraji zemlje; tudi moč hribov je njegova.

5 The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.

Morje je njegovo in on ga je naredil in njegove roke so oblikovale kopno zemljo.

6 O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.

Oh pridite, naj obožujemo in se priklonimo; pokleknimo pred Gospodom, našim stvarnikom.

7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice,

Kajti on je naš Bog in mi smo ljudstvo njegovega pašnika in ovce njegove roke. Če boste danes zaslišali njegov glas,

8 do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, in the day at Massah in the wilderness,

ne zakrknite svojega srca kakor z izzivanjem in kakor na dan preizkušnje v divjini,

9 where your fathers tested and tried Me, though they had seen My work.

ko so me vaši očetje skušali, me preizkušali in gledali moje delo.

10 For forty years I was angry with that generation, and I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known My ways.”

Dolgih štirideset let sem s tem rodom skupaj žaloval in rekel: »To je ljudstvo, ki se moti v svojem srcu in niso spoznali mojih poti, «

11 So I swore on oath in My anger, “They shall never enter My rest.”

ki sem jim v svojem besu prisegel, da ne bodo vstopili v moj počitek.
