Psalms 84
1 For the choirmaster. According to Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is Your dwelling place, O LORD of Hosts!
Para o regente, com “Gitite”. Salmo dos filhos de Coré: Quão agradáveis são tuas moradas, SENHOR dos exércitos!
2 My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Minha alma está desejosa, ao ponto de desmaiar, pelos pátios do SENHOR; meu coração e minha carne clamam ao Deus vivente.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she places her young near Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
Até o pardal acha casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde ponha filhotes perto de teus altares, ó SENHOR dos exércitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.
4 How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You.
Bem-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa; eles louvam a ti continuamente. (Selá)
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
Bem-aventurados aqueles cuja força está em ti, em cujos corações estão os caminhos [corretos].
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with pools.
Eles, ao passarem pelo Vale de Baca, fazem dele uma fonte; e a chuva o cobre de bênçãos.
7 They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion.
Eles vão de força em força; [cada um deles] comparece diante de Deus em Sião.
8 O LORD God of Hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob.
SENHOR Deus dos exércitos, escuta minha oração; inclina os teus ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacó. (Selá)
9 Take notice of our shield, O God, and look with favor on the face of Your anointed.
Olha o nosso escudo, ó Deus; e observa o rosto do teu ungido.
10 For better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Porque melhor é um dia nos teus pátios, do que mil [fora]. Prefiro estar à porta da casa do meu Deus, a morar nas tendas dos perversos.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.
Porque o SENHOR Deus é sol e escudo; o SENHOR concederá graça e honra; ele não negará o bem aos que andam em integridade.
12 O LORD of Hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You!
Ó SENHOR dos exércitos, bem-aventurado é o homem que confia em ti!
