< Psalms 73 >

1 A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Asaf ƒe ha. Vavã, Mawu wɔ nyui na Israel kple ame siwo dza le woƒe dzi me.
2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped.
Ke nye la, nye afɔ ɖiɖi kloe, eye esusɔ vie ko medze anyi.
3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Elabena mebiã ŋu ɖokuiŋudzela esi mekpɔ ale si nu le edzi dzem na ame vɔ̃ɖiwoe.
4 They have no struggle in their death; their bodies are well-fed.
Hiãkame aɖeke mele wo dzi o, eye wole lãmesẽ kple dedinɔnɔ me.
5 They are free of the burdens others carry; they are not afflicted like other men.
Wovo tso agba siwo tena ɖe amewo dzi la me, eye amegbetɔwo ƒe hiãtuame aɖeke mele wo dzi o.
6 Therefore pride is their necklace; a garment of violence covers them.
Eya ta dada nye woƒe kɔga, eye wodo nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ abe awu ene.
7 From their prosperity proceeds iniquity; the imaginations of their hearts run wild.
Dzidada dona tso woƒe dzi si ku atri la me, eye seɖoƒe meli na woƒe susu ƒe nu vɔ̃ɖiwo ɖoɖo o.
8 They mock and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression.
Woɖua fewu, ƒoa nu vlodoametɔe, eye le woƒe dada me la, woklẽa ŋku ɖe amewo be woabɔbɔ na wo.
9 They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongues strut across the earth.
Woƒe nuwo xɔ dziƒo wɔ wo tɔe, eye woƒe aɖewo xɔ anyigba wòzu wo tɔ.
10 So their people return to this place and drink up waters in abundance.
Eya ta woƒe amewo trɔ ɖe wo gbɔ, eye wono tsi fũu.
11 The wicked say, “How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?”
Wogblɔ be, “Aleke Mawu awɔ anya? Ɖe nunya le Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la sia?”
12 Behold, these are the wicked— always carefree as they increase their wealth.
Aleae ame vɔ̃ɖiwo le, wole ablɔɖe me ɣe sia ɣi, eye wodzia woƒe kesinɔnuwo ɖe edzi.
13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure; in innocence I have washed my hands.
Nyateƒee, dzodzro ko wònye be mewɔ nye dzi dzadzɛ, eye dzodzroe meklɔ nye asi ɖe fɔmaɖimaɖi me.
14 For I am afflicted all day long and punished every morning.
Mekpea fu ŋkeke blibo la, eye ŋdi sia ŋdi wohea to nam.
15 If I had said, “I will speak this way,” then I would have betrayed Your children.
Ɖe megblɔ be, “Ale maƒo nui nye si” la, anye ne mede viwòwo asi.
16 When I tried to understand all this, it was troublesome in my sight
Enye teteɖeanyi gã aɖe te menɔ esi medze agbagba be mase nu siawo gɔme,
17 until I entered God’s sanctuary; then I discerned their end.
va se ɖe esime mege ɖe Mawu ƒe Kɔkɔeƒe la, tete mese afi si woawu nu ɖo la gɔme.
18 Surely You set them on slick ground; You cast them down into ruin.
Vavã, ètsɔ wo ɖo didiƒe, eye nètsɔ wo xlã ɖe anyi wogblẽ keŋkeŋ.
19 How suddenly they are laid waste, completely swept away by terrors!
Aleke wohetsrɔ̃ kpata ale, ŋɔdzi kplɔ wo dzoe kaba ŋutɔ!
20 Like one waking from a dream, so You, O Lord, awaken and despise their form.
O! Aƒetɔ, abe ale si drɔ̃e nɔna ne ame nyɔ tso alɔ̃ me ene la, do vlo wo abe drɔ̃e manyatalenu ene.
21 When my heart was grieved and I was pierced within,
Esi nye dzi bi ɖe dɔ me nam, eye nye gbɔgbɔ se veve la,
22 I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before You.
mezu bometsila kple numanyala, eye mele abe lã tagbɔkukutɔ ene le ŋkuwò me.
23 Yet I am always with You; You hold my right hand.
Ke mele gbɔwò ɣe sia ɣi, eye nèlé nye ɖusibɔ ɖe asi.
24 You guide me with Your counsel, and later receive me in glory.
Èkplɔm le wò aɖaŋudede nu, eye àkplɔm emegbe ayi wò ŋutikɔkɔe mee.
25 Whom have I in heaven but You? And on earth I desire no one besides You.
Ame kae le dziƒo nam, negbe wò ko? Naneke mele anyigba si medi kpe ɖe ŋuwò o.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Nye ŋutilã kple nye dzi nu ava yi, gake Mawue nye nye dzi ƒe ŋusẽ kple nye gomekpɔkpɔ tegbetegbe.
27 Those far from You will surely perish; You destroy all who are unfaithful to You.
Ame siwo le adzɔge tso gbɔwò la atsrɔ̃, elabena ètsrɔ̃ ame siwo katã meto nyateƒe na wo o.
28 But as for me, it is good to draw near to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may proclaim all Your works.
Ke nye ya la, enyo be mate ɖe Mawu ŋu. Aƒetɔ Yehowae mewɔ nye sitsoƒee, maxlẽ wò nuwɔwɔwo katã afia.
