Psalms 63

1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God. Earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You. My body yearns for You in a dry and weary land without water.

ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം; അദ്ദേഹം യെഹൂദാമരുഭൂമിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നകാലത്തു രചിച്ചത്. ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങാണ് എന്റെ ദൈവം, ആത്മാർഥതയോടെ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളമില്ലാതെ ഉണങ്ങിവരണ്ട ദേശത്ത്, എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് അങ്ങേക്കായി ദാഹിക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ ശരീരംമുഴുവനും അങ്ങേക്കായി വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

2 So I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and glory.

വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ ദർശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു അവിടത്തെ ശക്തിയും അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വവും ഞാൻ ഉറ്റുനോക്കുന്നു.

3 Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You.

കാരണം അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ജീവനെക്കാൾ നല്ലതാകുന്നു, എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

4 So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your name I will lift my hands.

എന്റെ ജീവിതകാലംമുഴുവനും ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ സ്തുതിക്കും, അവിടത്തെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈകൾ ഉയർത്തും.

5 My soul is satisfied as with the richest of foods; with joyful lips my mouth will praise You.

വിശിഷ്ടഭോജനം ആസ്വദിച്ചതുപോലെ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ സംതൃപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ അങ്ങേക്ക് ആനന്ദഗാനം ആലപിക്കും.

6 When I remember You on my bed, I think of You through the watches of the night.

എന്റെ കിടക്കയിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ ഓർക്കുന്നു; രാത്രിയാമങ്ങളിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെക്കുറിച്ച് ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നു.

7 For You are my help; I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings.

അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ സഹായകനായതിനാൽ, അങ്ങയുടെ ചിറകിൻനിഴലിൽ ഞാൻ ആനന്ദഗാനമാലപിക്കും.

8 My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.

ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോട് പറ്റിച്ചേരുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ താങ്ങിനിർത്തുന്നു.

9 But those who seek my life to destroy it will go into the depths of the earth.

എന്നെ വധിക്കാൻ പരിശ്രമിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; അവർ ഭൂമിയുടെ അഗാധഗർത്തങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നിപതിക്കും.

10 They will fall to the power of the sword; they will become a portion for foxes.

അവർ വാളിന് ഇരയാക്കപ്പെടും കുറുനരികൾക്കവർ ഇരയായിത്തീരും.

11 But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by Him will exult, for the mouths of liars will be shut.

എന്നാൽ രാജാവ് ദൈവത്തിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും; ദൈവനാമത്തിൽ ശപഥംചെയ്യുന്നവർ ദൈവത്തിൽ പുകഴും, എന്നാൽ ഭോഷ്കുപറയുന്ന വായ് നിശ്ശബ്ദമാക്കപ്പെടും.
