< Psalms 55 >

1 For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Maskil of David. Listen to my prayer, O God, and do not ignore my plea.
Kuom jatend wer. Wer gi thumbe man-gi Waya. Maskil mar Daudi. Winj lamona, yaye Nyasaye, kik itamri winjo ywakna;
2 Attend to me and answer me. I am restless in my complaint, and distraught
Winja kendo idwoka. Pacha chanda kendo chunya onge gi kwe
3 at the voice of the enemy, at the pressure of the wicked. For they release disaster upon me and revile me in their anger.
Ka awinjo dwond wasika, kendo ka joma timbegi richo okwarona wengegi, nikech gimiyo abedo gi thagruok kendo giyanya ka gin gi mirima.
4 My heart murmurs within me, and the terrors of death assail me.
Chunya winjo malit e iya kendo luoro mar tho osemaka.
5 Fear and trembling grip me, and horror has overwhelmed me.
Aluor kendo denda tetni; kibaji ogoya matek.
6 I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and find rest.
Ne awacho niya, “Yaye mad ne bed ni an gi bwombe ka akuru! Dine afuyo aa ka mi ayudo yweyo.
7 How far away I would flee! In the wilderness I would remain.
Dine aringo adhi mabor mi adhi adak e piny ongoro; (Sela)
8 I would hurry to my shelter, far from this raging tempest.”
dine areto adhi nyaka kara mar pondo, kuma ni mabor gi apaka kod ahiti.”
9 O Lord, confuse and confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city.
Lal pach joma timbegi richo, yaye Ruoth, mi lewgi moki e dandgi, nikech aneno ka mahundu gi dhawo opongʼo dala maduongʼ.
10 Day and night they encircle the walls, while malice and trouble lie within.
Odiechiengʼ gotieno gilwenyo kor ohinga mare; himruok gi ayany ni e iye.
11 Destruction is within; oppression and deceit never leave the streets.
Teko mar kethruok chopo tijgi ei dala maduongʼ, mecho gi wuond osiko e yorene.
12 For it is not an enemy who insults me; that I could endure. It is not a foe who rises against me; from him I could hide.
Ka dine ok obedo malichna ka dine ngʼat ma ok dwara ema ogarna, to dine apondone.
13 But it is you, a man like myself, my companion and close friend.
To en mana in, dichwo kaka an in jawuodha kendo osiepna,
14 We shared sweet fellowship together; we walked with the crowd into the house of God.
mane wan-go gi lalruok matut chon kane wawuotho e dier oganda maduongʼ e od Nyasaye.
15 Let death seize them by surprise; let them go down to Sheol alive, for evil is with them in their homes. (Sheol h7585)
Mad tho neg wasika apoya, mad liel mwonygi ngili kapod gingima, nikech richo olokogi kar dakne. (Sheol h7585)
16 But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
An to aluongo Nyasaye, kendo Jehova Nyasaye resa.
17 Morning, noon, and night, I cry out in distress, and He hears my voice.
Odhiambo gi okinyi kod odiechiengʼ aywagora ka chunya lit, kendo owinjo dwonda.
18 He redeems my soul in peace from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me.
Owara kapok gimoro ohinya kuom lweny ma ji goyago, kata obedo ni ji mangʼeny kweda.
19 God will hear and humiliate them— the One enthroned for the ages— (Selah) because they do not change and they have no fear of God.
Nyasaye mobet e kom loch nyaka chiengʼ, biro winjogi kendo biro goyogi: (Sela) jogo motamore loko yoregi kendo ma ok mi Nyasaye luor.
20 My companion attacks his friends; he violates his covenant.
Jawuodha monjo osiepene; oseketho singruok mane otimo kodgi.
21 His speech is smooth as butter, but war is in his heart. His words are softer than oil, yet they are swords unsheathed.
Weche mowacho to yom ka mo mabuo, to lweny to ni e chunye; wechege yomo del moloyo mor wirruok, to kara gin mana ligangla mosewuodh oko.
22 Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
Ket pek manie chunyi ne Jehova Nyasaye to obiro riti; ok obi weyo ngʼat makare podhi.
23 But You, O God, will bring them down to the Pit of destruction; men of bloodshed and deceit will not live out half their days. But I will trust in You.
To in, yaye Nyasaye, ibiro dwoko joma timbegi richo piny nyaka ei bur ma gitow; joma joricho machwero remo ok bi bet mangima kata moromo nus ndalogi. An to ageno kuomi.
