< Psalms 52 >
1 For the choirmaster. A Maskil of David. After Doeg the Edomite went to Saul and told him, “David has gone to the house of Ahimelech.” Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The loving devotion of God endures all day long.
Fún adarí orin. Maskili ti Dafidi. Nígbà tí Doegi ará Edomu tọ Saulu lọ láti sọ fún pé, “Dafidi wà ní ilé Ahimeleki.” Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi ń ṣe féfé nínú ìwà ìkà, ìwọ alágbára ọkùnrin? Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi ń gbéraga nígbà gbogbo, ìwọ ẹni ẹ̀gàn níwájú Ọlọ́run?
2 Your tongue devises destruction like a sharpened razor, O worker of deceit.
Ahọ́n rẹ̀ ń gbìmọ̀ ìparun; ó dàbí abẹ mímú, ìwọ ẹni tí ń hùwà ẹ̀tàn.
3 You love evil more than good, falsehood more than speaking truth.
Ìwọ fẹ́ràn ibi ju ìre lọ, àti èké ju kí ó sọ òtítọ́ lọ.
4 You love every word that devours, O deceitful tongue.
Ìwọ fẹ́ràn ọ̀rọ̀ ìpanilára gbogbo, ìwọ ahọ́n ẹ̀tàn!
5 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin; He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent; He will uproot you from the land of the living.
Ọlọ́run yóò sì lù ọ́ bolẹ̀ láéláé, yóò sì dì ọ́ mú, yóò sì já ọ kúrò ni ibùjókòó rẹ, yóò sì fà ọ́ tu kúrò lórí ilẹ̀ alààyè. (Sela)
6 The righteous will see and fear; they will mock the evildoer, saying,
Àwọn olódodo yóò rí, wọn yóò sì bẹ̀rù wọn yóò sì rẹ́rìn-ín rẹ̀, wí pé,
7 “Look at the man who did not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his wealth and strengthened himself by destruction.”
“Èyí ni ọkùnrin náà ti kò fi Ọlọ́run ṣe agbára rẹ̀, bí kò ṣe ni ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ọrọ̀ rẹ̀ ni ó gbẹ́kẹ̀lé, ó sì mu ara rẹ̀ le nínú ìwà búburú rẹ̀.”
8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in the loving devotion of God forever and ever.
Ṣùgbọ́n èmi dàbí igi Olifi tí ó gbilẹ̀ nínú ilé Ọlọ́run; èmi gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run tí kì í kùnà láé àti láéláé.
9 I will praise You forever, because You have done it. I will wait on Your name— for it is good— in the presence of Your saints.
Èmi yóò yìn ọ títí fún ohun tí ó ti ṣe; èmi ní ìrètí nínú orúkọ rẹ, nítorí orúkọ rẹ dára. Èmi yóò yìn ọ́ níwájú àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́.
