< Psalms 50 >
1 A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from where the sun rises to where it sets.
Thaburi ya Asafu Jehova, o we Ngai ũcio Mwene-Hinya, nĩaraaria, ageeta thĩ yothe kuuma irathĩro rĩa riũa nginya kũrĩa rĩthũagĩra.
2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
Ngai aracangarara arĩ Zayuni itũũra rĩu ithaka mũno.
3 Our God approaches and will not be silent! Consuming fire precedes Him, and a tempest rages around Him.
4 He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that He may judge His people:
Areeta igũrũ na thĩ nĩguo ituĩke aira agĩciirithia andũ ake:
5 “Gather to Me My saints, who made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
“Cookanĩrĩrai harĩ niĩ inyuĩ andũ akwa aamũre, o inyuĩ mwagĩire kĩrĩkanĩro na niĩ na ũndũ wa kũndutĩra igongona.”
6 And the heavens proclaim His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge.
Narĩo igũrũ rĩanagĩrĩra ũthingu wake, nĩgũkorwo Ngai we mwene nĩwe mũtuanĩri ciira.
7 “Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God.
“Inyuĩ andũ akwa, thikĩrĩriai na nĩngwaria, ũthikĩrĩrie, wee Isiraeli, na nĩngũruta ũira wa gũgũthita: nĩ niĩ Ngai, o Ngai waku.
8 I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices, and your burnt offerings are ever before Me.
Ndirakũrũithia nĩ ũndũ wa magongona maku, o na kana nĩ ũndũ wa maruta maku ma njino, marĩa makoragwo mbere yakwa hĩndĩ ciothe.
9 I have no need for a bull from your stall or goats from your pens,
Ndibatarĩtio nĩ ndegwa yumĩte kiugũ gĩaku, kana mbũri ciumĩte ciugũ ciaku,
10 for every beast of the forest is Mine— the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are Mine.
Nyoni ciothe iria irĩ kũu irĩma-inĩ, gũtirĩ o na ĩmwe itooĩ, na ciũmbe ciothe cia werũ-inĩ nĩ ciakwa.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is Mine, and the fullness thereof.
Ingĩkorwo hũtiĩ, ndingĩkwĩra, nĩgũkorwo thĩ nĩ yakwa, na kĩrĩa gĩothe kĩrĩ thĩinĩ wayo.
13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Sacrifice a thank offering to God, and fulfill your vows to the Most High.
Rutĩra Ngai igongona rĩa gũcookia ngaatho, na ũhingagĩrie Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno mĩĩhĩtwa yaku,
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.”
16 To the wicked, however, God says, “What right have you to recite My statutes and to bear My covenant on your lips?
No rĩrĩ, mũndũ ũrĩa mwaganu Ngai ekũmũũria atĩrĩ: “Ũrĩ na kĩhooto kĩrĩkũ gĩa kuuga mawatho makwa, kana kwaria ũhoro wa kĩrĩkanĩro gĩakwa?
17 For you hate My instruction and cast My words behind you.
Nĩũmenete ũrutani wakwa, na ũgateanĩria ciugo ciakwa.
18 When you see a thief, you befriend him, and throw in your lot with adulterers.
Rĩrĩa wona mũici, ũnyiitanagĩra nake; na ũgĩĩaga ũrũmwe na itharia.
19 You unleash your mouth for evil and unharness your tongue for deceit.
Ũhũthagĩra kanua gaku kwaria ndeto njũru, na rũrĩmĩ rwaku naruo rũkaaragia maheeni.
20 You sit and malign your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.
Hĩndĩ ciothe waragia ndeto cia gũũkĩrĩra mũrũ wa thoguo, ũgagĩcambia mũrũ-wa-nyũkwa.
21 You have done these things, and I kept silent; you thought I was just like you. But now I rebuke you and accuse you to your face.
Maũndũ macio ũmekaga o ngirĩte, nawe ũgeciiria atĩ niĩ ndariĩ o tawe. No rĩrĩ, rĩu nĩngũkũrũithia, nguonie maũndũ marĩa wĩkĩte.
22 Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
“Mwĩcũraniei ũhoro ũyũ, inyuĩ mũriganagĩrwo nĩ Ngai, nĩguo ndikamũtambuure, na haage mũndũ wa kũmũteithũra.
23 He who sacrifices a thank offering honors Me, and to him who rights his way, I will show the salvation of God.”
Mũndũ ũrĩa ũrutaga igongona rĩa gũcookia ngaatho nĩ niĩ atĩĩaga, na akahaarĩria njĩra nĩgeetha ndĩmuonie ũhonokanio wa Ngai.”
