< Psalms 48 >

1 A song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, His holy mountain.
Велик је Господ и славан веома у граду Бога нашег, на светој гори својој.
2 Beautiful in loftiness, the joy of all the earth, like the peaks of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the great King.
Прекрасна је висина, утеха свој земљи гора Сион, на северној страни њеној град цара великог.
3 God is in her citadels; He has shown Himself to be a fortress.
Бог у дворима његовим зна се да је бранич.
4 For behold, the kings assembled; they all advanced together.
Јер, гле, цареви се земаљски сабраше, али прођоше сви.
5 They saw and were astounded; they fled in terror.
Видеше и зачудише се, препадоше се и побегоше.
6 Trembling seized them there, anguish like a woman in labor.
Трепет обузе их онде, мучише се као породиља.
7 With a wind from the east You wrecked the ships of Tarshish.
Ветром источним разбио си корабље тарсиске.
8 As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD of Hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish her forever.
Шта слушамо то и видимо у граду Господа над војскама, у граду Бога нашег, Бог га утврди довека.
9 Within Your temple, O God, we contemplate Your loving devotion.
Казујемо, Боже, милост Твоју усред цркве Твоје.
10 Your name, O God, like Your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.
Као што је име Твоје, Боже, тако је и хвала Твоја на крајевима земаљским; правде је пуна десница Твоја.
11 Mount Zion is glad, the daughters of Judah rejoice, on account of Your judgments.
Нек се весели гора Сион, нек се радују кћери јудејске судова ради Твојих.
12 March around Zion, encircle her, count her towers,
Пођите око Сиона и обиђите га, избројте куле његове;
13 consider her ramparts, tour her citadels, that you may tell the next generation.
Погледајте бедеме његове, размотрите дворове његове, да приповедате млађим нараштајима.
14 For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even till death.
Јер је овај Бог наш Бог увек и довека, Он ће бити вођ наш довека.
