Psalms 41
1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. Blessed is the one who cares for the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of trouble.
Blago onome koji razumije ništemu! Gospod æe ga izbaviti u zli dan.
2 The LORD will protect and preserve him; He will bless him in the land and refuse to surrender him to the will of his foes.
Gospod æe ga saèuvati i poživiæe ga; biæe blažen na zemlji. Neæeš ga dati na volju neprijateljima njegovijem.
3 The LORD will sustain him on his bed of illness and restore him from his bed of sickness.
Gospod æe ga ukrijepiti bolna na odru. Sasvijem mijenjaš postelju njegovu u bolesti njegovoj.
4 I said, “O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against You.”
Ja vièem: Gospode! smiluj se na me, iscijeli dušu moju, sagriješih ti.
5 My enemies say with malice: “When will he die and be forgotten?”
Neprijatelji moji govore zlobno za mene: “kad æe umrijeti, i ime njegovo poginuti?”
6 My visitor speaks falsehood; he gathers slander in his heart; he goes out and spreads it abroad.
I ako ko doðe da me vidi, laska; srce njegovo slaže u sebi nepravdu, i otišavši kazuje.
7 All who hate me whisper against me; they imagine the worst for me:
Šapæu o meni meðu sobom neprijatelji moji, i misle mi zlo:
8 “A vile disease has been poured into him; he will never get up from where he lies!”
“Zla stvar doðe na njega, legao je; neæe više ustati.”
9 Even my close friend whom I trusted, the one who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
I èovjek mira mojega, u kojega se uzdah, koji jeðaše hljeb moj, podiže na me petu.
10 But You, O LORD, be gracious to me and raise me up, that I may repay them.
Ali ti, Gospode, smiluj se na me, i podigni me; a ja æu im vratiti.
11 By this I know that You delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
Po tome æu poznati da sam ti mio, ako se ne uzraduje neprijatelj moj nada mnom.
12 In my integrity You uphold me and set me in Your presence forever.
A mene cijela saèuvaj, i daj mi da stojim pred licem tvojim dovijeka.
13 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
