Psalms 37
1 Of David. Do not fret over those who do evil; do not envy those who do wrong.
Un psalm al lui David. Nu te îngrijora din cauza făcătorilor de rău, nici nu fi invidios împotriva lucrătorilor nelegiuirii.
2 For they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender plants.
Căci degrabă vor fi cosiți ca iarba și se vor ofili ca iarba verde.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Încrede-te în DOMNUL și fă binele; astfel vei locui în țară și într-adevăr vei fi hrănit.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Desfată-te de asemenea în DOMNUL și el îți va da dorințele inimii tale.
5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.
Încredințează DOMNULUI calea ta și încrede-te de asemenea în el, iar el o va înfăptui.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun.
Și va aduce dreptatea ta ca lumina și judecata ta ca și amiaza.
7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men prosper in their ways, when they carry out wicked schemes.
Odihnește-te în DOMNUL și așteaptă-l cu răbdare; nu te îngrijora din cauza celui ce prosperă pe calea sa, din cauza omului care înfăptuiește planuri stricate.
8 Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret—it can only bring harm.
Oprește-te de la mânie și părăsește furia, nu te îngrijora în vreun fel pentru a face rău.
9 For the evildoers will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
Pentru că făcătorii de rău vor fi stârpiți, dar cei ce așteaptă pe DOMNUL, ei vor moșteni pământul.
10 Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.
Căci încă puțin timp și cel rău nu va mai fi, da, cu atenție vei lua aminte la locul lui și nu va mai fi.
11 But the meek will inherit the land and delight in abundant prosperity.
Dar cei blânzi vor moșteni pământul și se vor desfăta în abundența păcii.
12 The wicked scheme against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them,
Cel stricat uneltește împotriva celui drept și își scrâșnește din dinți asupra lui.
13 but the Lord laughs, seeing that their day is coming.
Domnul va râde de el, fiindcă vede că ziua lui vine.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword and bent the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.
Cei stricați au scos sabia și și-au încordat arcurile, pentru a doborî pe cel sărac și nevoiaș și pentru a ucide pe cei ce au o purtare integră.
15 But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.
Sabia lor va intra în propria lor inimă și arcurile lor vor fi frânte.
16 Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many who are wicked.
Puținul pe care un om drept îl are este mai bun decât bogățiile multor stricați.
17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.
Pentru că brațele celor stricați vor fi frânte, dar DOMNUL susține pe cei drepți.
18 The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will last forever.
DOMNUL cunoaște zilele celor integri și moștenirea lor va fi pentru totdeauna.
19 In the time of evil they will not be ashamed, and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.
Ei nu vor fi făcuți de rușine în timpul cel rău și în zilele foametei vor fi săturați.
20 But the wicked and enemies of the LORD will perish like the glory of the fields. They will vanish; like smoke they will fade away.
Dar cei stricați vor pieri și dușmanii DOMNULUI vor fi ca grăsimea mieilor, se vor mistui; în fum se vor mistui.
21 The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous are gracious and giving.
Cel stricat împrumută și nu plătește înapoi, dar cel drept arată milă și dă.
22 Surely those He blesses will inherit the land, but the cursed will be destroyed.
Fiindcă toți cei binecuvântați de el vor moșteni pământul; și cei ce sunt blestemați de el vor fi stârpiți.
23 The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD who takes delight in his journey.
Pașii omului bun sunt rânduiți de DOMNUL și își găsește plăcere în calea lui.
24 Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the LORD is holding his hand.
Deși cade, el nu va fi doborât de tot, pentru că DOMNUL îl susține cu mâna lui.
25 I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread.
Am fost tânăr și acum am îmbătrânit; totuși nu am văzut pe cel drept părăsit, nici sămânța lui cerșind pâine.
26 They are ever generous and quick to lend, and their children are a blessing.
El este totdeauna milos și împrumută; și sămânța lui este binecuvântată.
27 Turn away from evil and do good, so that you will abide forever.
Pleacă de la rău și fă binele; și rămâi pentru totdeauna.
28 For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake His saints. They are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.
Căci DOMNUL iubește judecata și nu părăsește pe sfinții săi; ei sunt păstrați pentru totdeauna, dar sămânța celor stricați va fi stârpită.
29 The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.
Cei drepți vor moșteni țara și vor locui în ea pentru totdeauna.
30 The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.
Gura celui drept spune înțelepciune și limba lui vorbește judecată.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not falter.
Legea Dumnezeului său este în inima lui; niciunul din pașii lui nu va aluneca.
32 Though the wicked lie in wait for the righteous, and seek to slay them,
Cel stricat pândește pe cel drept și caută să îl ucidă.
33 the LORD will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned under judgment.
DOMNUL nu îl va lăsa în mâna lui, nici nu îl va condamna când este judecat.
34 Wait for the LORD and keep His way, and He will raise you up to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
Așteaptă pe DOMNUL și ține calea lui, iar el te va înălța pentru a moșteni țara, când cei stricați sunt stârpiți, vei privi aceasta.
35 I have seen a wicked, ruthless man flourishing like a well-rooted native tree,
Am văzut pe cel stricat în mare putere și întinzându-se ca un dafin verde.
36 yet he passed away and was no more; though I searched, he could not be found.
Totuși a trecut și, iată, el nu mai este, da, l-am căutat, dar nu a putut fi găsit.
37 Consider the blameless and observe the upright, for posterity awaits the man of peace.
Însemnează pe cel desăvârșit și privește pe cel integru, fiindcă sfârșitul acelui om este pace.
38 But the transgressors will all be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off.
Dar călcătorii de lege vor fi nimiciți împreună, sfârșitul celor stricați va fi stârpit.
39 The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.
Dar salvarea celor drepți este a DOMNULUI, el este puterea lor în timpul tulburării.
40 The LORD helps and delivers them; He rescues and saves them from the wicked, because they take refuge in Him.
Și DOMNUL îi va ajuta și îi va elibera; îi va elibera de cei stricați și îi va salva pentru că se încred în el.
