Psalms 35
1 Of David. Contend with my opponents, O LORD; fight against those who fight against me.
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, जो मुझ से झगड़ते हैं तू उनसे झगड़; जो मुझ से लड़ते हैं तू उनसे लड़।
2 Take up Your shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.
ढाल और सिपर लेकर मेरी मदद के लिए खड़ा हो।
3 Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers; say to my soul: “I am your salvation.”
भाला भी निकाल और मेरा पीछा करने वालों का रास्ता बंद कर दे; मेरी जान से कह, मैं तेरी नजात हूँ।
4 May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plan to harm me be driven back and confounded.
जो मेरी जान के तलबगार हैं, वह शर्मिन्दा और रुस्वा हों। जो मेरे नुक़्सान का मन्सूबा बाँधते हैं, वह पसपा और परेशान हों।
5 May they be like chaff in the wind, as the angel of the LORD drives them away.
वह ऐसे हो जाएँ जैसे हवा के आगे भूसा, और ख़ुदावन्द का फ़रिश्ता उनको हाँकता रहे।
6 May their path be dark and slick, as the angel of the LORD pursues.
उनकी राह अँधेरी और फिसलनी हो जाए, और ख़ुदावन्द का फ़रिश्ता उनको दौड़ाता जाए।
7 For without cause they laid their net for me; without reason they dug a pit for my soul.
क्यूँकि उन्होंने बे वजह मेरे लिए गढ़े में जाल बिछाया, और नाहक़ मेरी जान के लिए गढ़ा खोदा है।
8 May ruin befall them by surprise; may the net they hid ensnare them; may they fall into the hazard they created.
उस पर अचानक तबाही आ पड़े! और जिस जाल को उसने बिछाया है उसमें आप ही फसे; और उसी हलाकत में गिरफ़्तार हो।
9 Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and exult in His salvation.
लेकिन मेरी जान ख़ुदावन्द में खु़श रहेगी, और उसकी नजात से शादमान होगी।
10 All my bones will exclaim, “Who is like You, O LORD, who delivers the afflicted from the aggressor, the poor and needy from the robber?”
मेरी सब हड्डियाँ कहेंगी, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द तुझ सा कौन है, जो ग़रीब को उसके हाथ से जो उससे ताक़तवर है, और ग़रीब — ओ — मोहताज को ग़ारतगर से छुड़ाता है?”
11 Hostile witnesses come forward; they make charges I know nothing about.
झूटे गवाह उठते हैं; और जो बातें मैं नहीं जानता, वह मुझ से पूछते हैं।
12 They repay me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.
वह मुझ से नेकी के बदले बदी करते हैं, यहाँ तक कि मेरी जान बेकस हो जाती है।
13 Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting, but my prayers returned unanswered.
लेकिन मैंने तो उनकी बीमारी में जब वह बीमार थे, टाट ओढ़ा और रोज़े रख कर अपनी जान को दुख दिया; और मेरी दुआ मेरे ही सीने में वापस आई।
14 I paced about as for my friend or brother; I was bowed down with grief, like one mourning for his mother.
मैंने तो ऐसा किया जैसे वह मेरा दोस्त या मेरा भाई था; मैंने सिर झुका कर ग़म किया जैसे कोई अपनी माँ के लिए मातम करता हो।
15 But when I stumbled, they assembled in glee; they gathered together against me. Assailants I did not know slandered me without ceasing.
लेकिन जब मैं लंगड़ाने लगा तो वह ख़ुश होकर इकट्ठे हो गए, कमीने मेरे ख़िलाफ़ इकट्ठा हुए और मुझे मा'लूम न था; उन्होंने मुझे फाड़ा और बाज़ न आए।
16 Like godless jesters at a feast, they gnashed their teeth at me.
ज़ियाफ़तों के बदतमीज़ मसखरों की तरह, उन्होंने मुझ पर दाँत पीसे।
17 How long, O Lord, will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my precious life from these lions.
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तू कब तक देखता रहेगा? मेरी जान को उनकी ग़ारतगरी से, मेरी जान को शेरों से छुड़ा।
18 Then I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.
मैं बड़े मजमे' में तेरी शुक्रगुज़ारी करूँगा मैं बहुत से लोगों में तेरी सिताइश करूँगा।
19 Let not my enemies gloat over me without cause, nor those who hate me without reason wink in malice.
जो नाहक़ मेरे दुश्मन हैं, मुझ पर ख़ुशी न मनाएँ; और जो मुझ से बे वजह 'अदावत रखते हैं, चश्मक ज़नी न करें।
20 For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful schemes against those who live quietly in the land.
क्यूँकि वह सलामती की बातें नहीं करते, बल्कि मुल्क के अमन पसंद लोगों के ख़िलाफ़, मक्र के मन्सूबे बाँधते हैं।
21 They gape at me and say, “Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen!”
यहाँ तक कि उन्होंने ख़ूब मुँह फाड़ा और कहा, “अहा! अहा! हम ने अपनी आँख से देख लिया है!”
22 O LORD, You have seen it; be not silent. O Lord, be not far from me.
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तूने ख़ुद यह देखा है; ख़ामोश न रह! ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मुझ से दूर न रह!
23 Awake and rise to my defense, to my cause, my God and my Lord!
उठ, मेरे इन्साफ़ के लिए जाग, और मेरे मु'आमिले के लिए, ऐ मेरे ख़ुदा! ऐ मेरे ख़ुदावन्द!
24 Vindicate me by Your righteousness, O LORD my God, and do not let them gloat over me.
अपनी सदाक़त के मुताबिक़ मेरी'अदालत कर, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मेरे ख़ुदा! और उनको मुझ पर ख़ुशी न मनाने दे।
25 Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, just what we wanted!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up!”
वह अपने दिल में यह न कहने पाएँ, “अहा! हम तो यही चाहते थे!” वह यह न कहें, कि हम उसे निगल गए।
26 May those who gloat in my distress be ashamed and confounded; may those who exalt themselves over me be clothed in shame and reproach.
जो मेरे नुक़सान से ख़ुश होते हैं, वह आपस में शर्मिन्दा और परेशान हों! जो मेरे मुक़ाबले में तकब्बुर करते हैं वह शर्मिन्दगी और रुस्वाई से मुलब्बस हों।
27 May those who favor my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “Exalted be the LORD who delights in His servant’s well-being.”
जो मेरे सच्चे मु'आमिले की ताईद करते हैं, वह ख़ुशी से ललकारें और ख़ुशहों; वह हमेशा यह कहें, ख़ुदावन्द की तम्जीद हो, जिसकी ख़ुशनूदी अपने बन्दे की इक़बालमन्दी में है!
28 Then my tongue will proclaim Your righteousness and Your praises all day long.
तब मेरी ज़बान से तेरी सदाकत का ज़िक्र होगा, और दिन भर तेरी ता'रीफ़ होगी।
