Psalms 34
1 Of David, when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, so that the king drove him away. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.
Blagosiljam Gospoda u svako doba, hvala je njegova svagda u ustima mojima.
2 My soul boasts in the LORD; let the oppressed hear and rejoice.
Gospodom se hvali duša moja; neka èuju koji stradaju, pa neka se raduju.
3 Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.
Velièajte Gospoda sa mnom, uzvišujmo ime njegovo zajedno.
4 I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.
Tražih Gospoda, i èu me, i svijeh nevolja mojih oprosti me.
5 Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed.
Koji u njega gledaju prosvjetljuju se, i lica se njihova neæe postidjeti.
6 This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him; He saved him from all his troubles.
Ovaj stradalac zavika, i Gospod ga èu, i oprosti ga svijeh nevolja njegovijeh.
7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and he delivers them.
Anðeli Gospodnji stanom stoje oko onijeh koji se njega boje, i izbavljaju ih.
8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
Ispitajte i vidite kako je dobar Gospod; blago èovjeku koji se uzda u nj.
9 Fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.
Bojte se Gospoda, sveti njegovi; jer koji se njega boje, njima nema oskudice.
10 Young lions go lacking and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Lavovi su ubogi i gladni, a koji traže Gospoda, ne premièe im se nijednoga dobra.
11 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Hodite, djeco, poslušajte me; nauèiæu vas strahu Gospodnjemu.
12 Who is the man who delights in life, who desires to see good days?
Koji èovjek želi života, ljubi dane da bi vidio dobro?
13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech.
Ustavljaj jezik svoj oda zla, i usta svoja od prijevarne rijeèi.
14 Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Kloni se oda zla, i èini dobro, traži mira i idi za njim.
15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their cry.
Oèi su Gospodnje obraæene na pravednike, i uši njegove na jauk njihov.
16 But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to wipe out all memory of them from the earth.
Ali je strašno lice Gospodnje za one koji èine zlo, da bi istrijebio na zemlji spomen njihov.
17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears; He delivers them from all their troubles.
Vièu pravedni, i Gospod ih èuje, i izbavlja ih od svijeh nevolja njihovijeh.
18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.
Gospod je blizu onijeh koji su skrušena srca, i pomaže onima koji su smjerna duha.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
Mnogo nevolje ima pravednik, ali ga od svijeh izbavlja Gospod.
20 He protects all his bones; not one of them will be broken.
Èuva Gospod sve kosti njegove, nijedna se od njih neæe slomiti.
21 Evil will slay the wicked, and the haters of the righteous will be condemned.
Bezbožnika ubiæe zlo, i koji nenavide pravednika prevariæe se.
22 The LORD redeems His servants, and none who take refuge in Him will be condemned.
Gospod iskupljuje dušu sluga svojih, i koji se god u njega uzdaju, neæe se prevariti.
