< Psalms 3 >

1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. O LORD, how my foes have increased! How many rise up against me!
David ƒe ha, esi wòsi le via Absalom nu. O, Yehowa, aleke nye futɔwo sɔ gbɔ ale! Aleke ame geɖewo tso ɖe ŋunye ale!
2 Many say of me, “God will not deliver him.”
Ame geɖewo le gbɔgblɔm tso ŋutinye be, “Mawu maɖee akpɔ o.” (Sela)
3 But You, O LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head.
O, Yehowa, ke wò la, ènye akpoxɔnu ƒo xlãm; ètsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe kɔ ɖe dzinye, eye nèkɔ nye ta dzi.
4 To the LORD I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy mountain.
Yehowae medo ɣli na sesĩe, eye wòtɔ nam tso eƒe to kɔkɔe la dzi. (Sela)
5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.
Memlɔ anyi hedɔ alɔ̃; meganyɔ, elabena Yehowae kpɔ tanye.
6 I will not fear the myriads set against me on every side.
Nyemavɔ̃ na ame akpe nane siwo ho, ɖe to ɖem godoo la o.
7 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.
Tso, O, Yehowa! Ɖem, O, nye Mawu! Ƒo tome na nye futɔwo katã; eye nàŋe aɖu na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo.
8 Salvation belongs to the LORD; may Your blessing be on Your people.
Yehowa gbɔe ɖeɖe tsona. Na be wò yayra nanɔ wò amewo dzi. (Sela)
