Psalms 29

1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

Mazmur Daud. Pujilah TUHAN, hai makhluk-makhluk surgawi, pujilah keagungan dan kuasa-Nya.

2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.

Pujilah nama TUHAN yang mulia sembahlah Dia dengan memakai pakaian ibadat.

3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.

Allah yang agung mengguntur di atas laut, suara-Nya bergema di atas samudra.

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.

Suara TUHAN terdengar, penuh kuasa dan kemegahan.

5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.

Suara TUHAN menumbangkan pohon-pohon, mematahkan pohon cemara Libanon.

6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.

Gunung Libanon dibuat-Nya melompat seperti anak sapi, Gunung Siryon melonjak seperti anak banteng.

7 The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.

Suara TUHAN membuat kilat menyambar.

8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

Suara TUHAN menggoyangkan padang gurun, TUHAN menggoyangkan padang gurun Kades.

9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”

Suara TUHAN menggoncangkan pohon-pohon berangan, dan menggugurkan daun-daun di hutan; sementara di Rumah TUHAN umat berseru, "Pujilah TUHAN!"

10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.

TUHAN berkuasa atas air bah, Ia berkuasa sebagai Raja untuk selama-lamanya.

11 The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.

Semoga TUHAN memberi kekuatan kepada umat-Nya, dan membuat mereka sejahtera.
