Psalms 29
1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Pour la consommation du tabernacle.
2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.
Apportez au Seigneur gloire et honneur, apportez au Seigneur de la gloire pour son nom: adorez le Seigneur dans son saint parvis.
3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.
La voix du Seigneur a retenti sur les eaux, le Dieu de majesté a tonné; le Seigneur s’est fait entendre sur des eaux abondantes.
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
La voix du Seigneur est pleine de force: la voix du Seigneur est pleine de magnificence.
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
La voix du Seigneur brise des cèdres; et le Seigneur brisera les cèdres du Liban,
6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
Et les mettra en pièces comme il y mettrait un jeune taureau du Liban: et le bien-aimé sera comme un petit de licorne.
7 The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.
La voix du Seigneur fend une flamme de feu;
8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
La voix du Seigneur ébranle le désert; et le Seigneur agitera le désert de Cadès.
9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
La voix du Seigneur prépare des cerfs; et elle découvrira des lieux sombres et épais: et, dans son temple, tous diront: Gloire!
10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
Le Seigneur fait habiter le déluge sur la terre; et le Seigneur roi siégera éternellement.
11 The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
Le Seigneur donnera de la force à son peuple: le Seigneur bénira son peuple en paix.
