Psalms 29
1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Psaume de David. Rendez à l'Éternel, ô vous, fils de Dieu. Rendez à l'Éternel gloire et louange!
2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.
Rendez à l'Éternel la gloire due à son nom; Prosternez-vous devant l'Éternel, parés de vos ornements sacrés!
3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.
La voix de l'Éternel retentit sur les eaux; Le Dieu de gloire, l'Éternel, fait gronder le tonnerre Sur les grandes eaux.
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
La voix de l'Éternel est puissante; La voix de l'Éternel est pleine de majesté;
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
La voix de l'Éternel brise les cèdres; L'Éternel brise les cèdres du Liban.
6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
Il les fait bondir comme de jeunes taureaux. Il ébranle le Liban et le Sirion comme les petits du buffle.
7 The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.
La voix de l'Éternel fait jaillir des flammes de feu.
8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
La voix de l'Éternel fait trembler le désert. L'Éternel fait trembler le désert de Kadès.
9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
La voix de l'Éternel fait faonner les biches; Elle dépouille les forêts. Dans son palais tout s'écrie: «Gloire!»
10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
L'Éternel présidait au déluge, Et sur son trône l'Éternel régnera éternellement.
11 The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
L'Éternel donnera la force à son peuple; L'Éternel bénira son peuple en lui accordant la paix.
