Psalms 24

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof, the world and all who dwell therein.

தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். பூமியும் அதிலிருக்கும் ஒவ்வொன்றும் யெகோவாவினுடையவை, உலகமும் அதில் வாழும் அனைவரும் அவருடையவர்கள்.

2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

ஏனென்றால் அவர் பூமியைக் கடலின்மேல் நிறுவி, தண்ணீரின்மேல் நிலைநிறுத்தினார்.

3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?

யெகோவாவினுடைய மலையில் ஏறத்தகுந்தவன் யார்? அவருடைய பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் நிற்கத் தகுந்தவன் யார்?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear deceitfully.

சுத்தமான கைகளுடையவனும் தூய்மையான இருதயமுடையவனும் தன் ஆத்துமாவை பொய்யானவைகளுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடாதவனும் பொய் சத்தியம் செய்யாதவனுமே.

5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from the God of his salvation.

அவர்கள் யெகோவாவிடமிருந்து ஆசீர்வாதம் பெறுவார்கள், தங்கள் இரட்சகரான இறைவனால் நியாயத்தைப் பெறுவார்கள்.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob.

அவரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் சந்ததி இப்படிப்பட்டதே, யாக்கோபின் இறைவனே, உமது முகத்தைத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் இவர்களே.

7 Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!

வாசல்களே, உங்கள் தலைகளை உயர்த்துங்கள்; பூர்வீகக் கதவுகளே, நீங்கள் உயர்த்தப்படுங்கள்; மகிமையின் அரசன் உட்செல்ல வழிவிடுங்கள்.

8 Who is this King of Glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

இந்த மகிமையின் அரசன் யார்? அவர் பலமும் வலிமையும் உள்ள யெகோவா, அவர் போரில் வல்லமையுள்ள யெகோவா.

9 Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!

வாசல்களே, உங்கள் தலைகளை உயர்த்துங்கள்; பூர்வீக கதவுகளே, நீங்கள் உயர்த்தப்படுங்கள்; மகிமையின் அரசன் உட்செல்ல வழிவிடுங்கள்.

10 Who is He, this King of Glory? The LORD of Hosts— He is the King of Glory.

மகிமையின் அரசனான இவர் யார்? அவர் சேனைகளின் யெகோவா; அவரே மகிமையின் அரசன்.
