Psalms 22
1 For the choirmaster. To the tune of “The Doe of the Dawn.” A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from saving me, so far from my words of groaning?

2 I cry out by day, O my God, but You do not answer, and by night, but I have no rest.
Mein Gott, mein Gott, warum hast du mich verlassen?! / Ohne Hilfe zu finden, muß ich zu dir schrein.
3 Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
Mein Gott, ich rufe am Tage, doch du hörest mich nicht; / Auch (ruf ich) des Nachts, / Aber mein Klagen wird nicht gestillt.
4 In You our fathers trusted; they trusted and You delivered them.
Und dennoch bist du der Heilige, / Über Israels Lobliedern thronend.
5 They cried out to You and were set free; they trusted in You and were not disappointed.
Dir haben unsre Väter vertraut, / sie haben vertraut: du hast sie errettet.
6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.
Sie schrien zu dir und wurden frei, / Sie vertrauten dir und sind nicht zuschanden geworden.
7 All who see me mock me; they sneer and shake their heads:
Ich aber bin ein Wurm und kein Mensch, / Von den Leuten verhöhnt und verachtet vom Volk.
8 “He trusts in the LORD, let the LORD deliver him; let the LORD rescue him, since He delights in him.”
Alle, die mich sehen, spotten mein, / Verziehen die Lippen, schütteln den Kopf:
9 Yet You brought me forth from the womb; You made me secure at my mother’s breast.
"Befiehl dich Jahwe — der rette ihn, / Er reiß ihn heraus, hat er Freude an ihm!"
10 From birth I was cast upon You; from my mother’s womb You have been my God.
Ja, du hast mich gezogen aus Mutterschoß, / Mit Vertrauen mich erfüllt an der Mutter Brust.
11 Be not far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.
Auf dich bin ich gewiesen von Anfang an, / Seit meiner Geburt bist du mein Gott.
12 Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
Sei nicht fern von mir, denn Not ist nah — / Ich habe ja sonst keinen Helfer!
13 They open their jaws against me like lions that roar and maul.
Viele Stiere haben mich umringt, / Die Starken Basans umgeben mich.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are disjointed. My heart is like wax; it melts away within me.
Ihren Rachen öffnen sie wider mich / Wie ein reißender, brüllender Löwe.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You lay me in the dust of death.
Wie Wasser bin ich hingegossen, / All meine Gebeine sind auseinandergereckt. / Es ist mein Herz wie Wachs, / Zerschmolzen in meinem Innern.
16 For dogs surround me; a band of evil men encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet.
Vertrocknet wie eine Scherbe ist meine Kraft, / Die Zunge klebt mir am Gaumen, / Und du lagerst mich in den Todesstaub.
17 I can count all my bones; they stare and gloat over me.
Ja, es haben mich Hunde umringt, / Eine Bösewichterrotte hat mich umkreist, / Sie durchbohren mir Hände und Füße.
18 They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.
Zählen könnt ich all meine Gebeine; / Sie aber freuen sich meiner Qual.
19 But You, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me.
Sie teilen meine Kleider unter sich / Und werfen das Los über mein Gewand.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of wild dogs.
Du aber, Jahwe, bleib nicht fern! / Meine Stärke, eil mir zu Hilfe!
21 Save me from the mouth of the lion; at the horns of the wild oxen You have answered me!
Rette mein Leben vom Schwert, / Aus der Hunde Gewalt reiß meine Seele.
22 I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; I will praise You in the assembly.
Hilf mir doch aus des Löwen Rachen, / Aus der Büffel Hörnern mache mich frei!
23 You who fear the LORD, praise Him! All descendants of Jacob, honor Him! All offspring of Israel, revere Him!
Dann will ich meinen Brüdern deinen Namen künden, / Inmitten der Gemeinde dir lobsingen:
24 For He has not despised or detested the torment of the afflicted. He has not hidden His face from him, but has attended to his cry for help.
"Die ihr Jahwe fürchtet, preist ihn, / Alle Nachkommen Jakobs, ehret ihn / Und scheut euch vor ihm, alle Israelsöhne!
25 My praise for You resounds in the great assembly; I will fulfill my vows before those who fear You.
Denn nicht verachtet, nicht verschmäht er des Armen Qual, / Nicht hat er sein Antlitz vor ihm verborgen, / Und als er schrie, hat er ihn erhört."
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise Him. May your hearts live forever!
Dir gilt mein Lobpreis in großer Gemeinde. / Meine Gelübde bezahl ich vor allen Frommen.
27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD. All the families of the nations will bow down before Him.
Essen sollen Demütige und satt werden; / Preisen werden Jahwe, die ihn suchen: / "Euer Herz soll sich laben auf ewig!"
28 For dominion belongs to the LORD and He rules over the nations.
Des gedenkend werden sich wenden zu Jahwe / Alle Enden der Erde; / Und niederfallen werden vor dir / Alle Geschlechter der Heiden.
29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before Him— even those unable to preserve their lives.
Denn Jahwes ist das Königtum, / Er ist aller Völker Herrscher.
30 Posterity will serve Him; they will declare the Lord to a new generation.
Niederfallen werden vor ihm alle Großen der Erde, / Wenn sie gegessen haben. / Vor ihm werden auch alle knien. / Die hinabfahren in des Grabes Staub / Und die ihr Leben nicht fristen können.
31 They will come and proclaim His righteousness to a people yet unborn— all that He has done.
Die Nachwelt soll ihm dienen, / Man wird vom Herrn erzählen dem künftigen Geschlecht. Sie werden kommen und seine Treue verkünden / Dem spätern Volk, daß er es vollbracht!
