Psalms 21
1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O LORD, the king rejoices in Your strength. How greatly he exults in Your salvation!
Para el músico principal. Un salmo de David. ¡El rey se alegra de tu fuerza, Yahvé! ¡Cuánto se alegra de tu salvación!
2 You have granted his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips.
Le has dado el deseo de su corazón, y no han retenido la petición de sus labios. (Selah)
3 For You welcomed him with rich blessings; You placed on his head a crown of pure gold.
Porque lo encuentras con las bendiciones de la bondad. Pusiste una corona de oro fino en su cabeza.
4 He asked You for life, and You granted it— length of days, forever and ever.
Te pidió la vida y se la diste, incluso la duración de los días por los siglos de los siglos.
5 Great is his glory in Your salvation; You bestow on him splendor and majesty.
Su gloria es grande en tu salvación. Le das honor y majestad.
6 For You grant him blessings forever; You cheer him with joy in Your presence.
Porque tú lo haces el más bendito para siempre. Lo alegras con tu presencia.
7 For the king trusts in the LORD; through the loving devotion of the Most High, he will not be shaken.
Porque el rey confía en Yahvé. Por la amorosa bondad del Altísimo, no será conmovido.
8 Your hand will apprehend all Your enemies; Your right hand will seize those who hate You.
Tu mano descubrirá a todos tus enemigos. Tu mano derecha descubrirá a los que te odian.
9 You will place them in a fiery furnace at the time of Your appearing. In His wrath the LORD will engulf them, and the fire will consume them.
Los harás como un horno de fuego en el momento de tu ira. Yahvé se los tragará en su ira. El fuego los devorará.
10 You will wipe their descendants from the earth, and their offspring from the sons of men.
Destruirás a sus descendientes de la tierra, su posteridad de entre los hijos de los hombres.
11 Though they intend You harm, the schemes they devise will not prevail.
Porque ellos pretenden el mal contra ti. Han tramado un mal contra ti que no puede tener éxito.
12 For You will put them to flight when Your bow is trained upon them.
Porque los harás volver la espalda, cuando apuntas con los arcos a la cara.
13 Be exalted, O LORD, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power.
Sé exaltado, Yahvé, en tu fuerza, por lo que cantaremos y alabaremos tu poder.
