< Psalms 20 >
1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
Kuom jatend wer. Zaburi mar Daudi. Mad Jehova Nyasaye dwoki ka in e chandruok; mad nying Nyasach Jakobo riti.
2 May He send you help from the sanctuary and sustain you from Zion.
Mad oorni kony moa kare maler mar lemo kendo omiyi kony moa Sayun.
3 May He remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings.
Mad opar misengni magi duto kendo oyie gi misengini miwangʼo pep magi. (Sela)
4 May He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
Mad omiyi gima chunyi gombo kendo omi chenro magi duto odhi maber.
5 May we shout for joy at your victory and raise a banner in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your petitions.
Wabiro kok gimor ka ilocho kendo wabiro tingʼo bendechwa malo e nying Nyasachwa. Mad Jehova Nyasaye chiw gik moko duto mikwaye.
6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand.
Koro angʼeyo ni Jehova Nyasaye reso ngʼate mowir; odwoke gie kare maler mar lemo manie polo, gi teko ma waro ji mar lwete ma korachwich.
7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Jomoko ogeno kuom gechegi to jomoko kuom faresegi, to wan to wageno kuom nying Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasachwa.
8 They collapse and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
Gibiro lwar e chonggi mi gipodhi, to wan wabiro aa malo mi wachungʼ motegno.
9 O LORD, save the king. Answer us on the day we call.
Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, reswa ruoth! Dwokwa ka waluongi!
