Psalms 143
1 A Psalm of David. O LORD, hear my prayer. In Your faithfulness, give ear to my plea; in Your righteousness, answer me.
Un salmo de David. Escucha mi oración, Yahvé. Escucha mis peticiones. En tu fidelidad y justicia, alíviame.
2 Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous before You.
No entres en juicio con tu siervo, porque a tus ojos ningún hombre vivo es justo.
3 For the enemy has pursued my soul, crushing my life to the ground, making me dwell in darkness like those long since dead.
Porque el enemigo persigue mi alma. Ha derribado mi vida hasta el suelo. Me ha hecho vivir en lugares oscuros, como los que llevan mucho tiempo muertos.
4 My spirit grows faint within me; my heart is dismayed inside me.
Por lo tanto, mi espíritu está abrumado dentro de mí. Mi corazón está desolado.
5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I consider the work of Your hands.
Recuerdo los días de antaño. Medito en todos tus actos. Contemplo la obra de tus manos.
6 I stretch out my hands to You; my soul thirsts for You like a parched land.
Extiendo mis manos hacia ti. Mi alma tiene sed de ti, como una tierra reseca. (Selah)
7 Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide Your face from me, or I will be like those who descend to the Pit.
Apresúrate a responderme, Yahvé. Mi espíritu falla. No me escondas la cara, para que no me vuelva como los que bajan a la fosa.
8 Let me hear Your loving devotion in the morning, for I have put my trust in You. Teach me the way I should walk, for to You I lift up my soul.
Hazme oír tu amorosa bondad por la mañana, porque confío en ti. Haz que conozca el camino que debo seguir, porque elevo mi alma a ti.
9 Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD; I flee to You for refuge.
Líbrame, Yahvé, de mis enemigos. Huyo hacia ti para que me escondas.
10 Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Enséñame a hacer tu voluntad, porque tú eres mi Dios. Tu Espíritu es bueno. Guíame por la tierra de la rectitud.
11 For the sake of Your name, O LORD, revive me. In Your righteousness, bring my soul out of trouble.
Revísame, Yahvé, por tu nombre. En tu justicia, saca mi alma de la angustia.
12 And in Your loving devotion, cut off my enemies. Destroy all who afflict me, for I am Your servant.
En tu amorosa bondad, elimina a mis enemigos, y destruye a todos los que afligen mi alma, pues soy tu siervo.
