< Psalms 142 >

1 A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A prayer. I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift my voice to the LORD for mercy.
Dawid deɛ. Ɛberɛ a na ɔwɔ ɔbodan mu no. Mpaeɛbɔ. Meteam mesu frɛ Awurade; me ma me nne so su frɛ Awurade sɛ ɔnhunu me mmɔbɔ.
2 I pour out my complaint before Him; I reveal my trouble to Him.
Mehwie mʼahiasɛm megu nʼanim; meka me haw kyerɛ no.
3 Although my spirit grows faint within me, You know my way. Along the path I travel they have hidden a snare for me.
Sɛ me ɔkra tɔ baha wɔ me mu a, ɛyɛ wo na wonim mʼakwan. Ɛkwan a menam so no nnipa asum me afidie wɔ so.
4 Look to my right and see; no one attends to me. There is no refuge for me; no one cares for my soul.
Hwɛ me nifa so na hunu sɛ; mʼasɛm mfa obiara ho; menni dwanekɔbea bi; me nkwa mfa obiara ho.
5 I cry to You, O LORD: “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
Ao Awurade, mesu mefrɛ wo; mese, “Wone me dwanekɔbea, me kyɛfa wɔ ateasefoɔ asase so.”
6 Listen to my cry, for I am brought quite low. Rescue me from my pursuers, for they are too strong for me.
Tie me sufrɛ, na mewɔ ahohia kɛseɛ mu; gye me firi mʼataafoɔ nsam, ɛfiri sɛ wɔn ho yɛ den sene me.
7 Free my soul from prison, that I may praise Your name. The righteous will gather around me because of Your goodness to me.
Yi me firi me nneduadan mu, na makamfo wo din. Afei teneneefoɔ bɛtwa me ho ahyia ɛsiane wo papa a woayɛ me enti.
