Psalms 136

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good.

2 Give thanks to the God of gods.

Monna anyame mu Onyankopɔn ase.

3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords.

Monna awuranom mu Awurade no ase.

4 He alone does great wonders.

Ɔno nko ara na ɔyɛ anwanwadeɛ akɛseɛ.

5 By His insight He made the heavens.

Ɔno na ɔfiri ne nteaseɛ mu bɔɔ ɔsoro.

6 He spread out the earth upon the waters.

Ɔno na ɔtrɛɛ asase mu de kataa nsuo so.

7 He made the great lights—

Ɔno na ɔbɔɔ nkanea akɛseɛ no.

8 the sun to rule the day,

Ɔbɔɔ owia sɛ ɛnni adekyeeɛ so.

9 the moon and stars to govern the night.

Ɔbɔɔ ɔsrane ne nsoromma sɛ wɔnni adesaeɛ so no.

10 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt

Ɔno na ɔkunkumm Misraimfoɔ mmakan,

11 and brought Israel out from among them

na ɔyii Israelfoɔ firii wɔn mu no.

12 with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.

13 He divided the Red Sea in two

Ɔno na ɔpaee Ɛpo Kɔkɔɔ no mu no,

14 and led Israel through the midst,

na ɔde Israelfoɔ faa mfimfini no.

15 but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea.

16 He led His people through the wilderness.

17 He struck down great kings

Ɔno na ɔkumm ahemfo akɛseɛ no,

18 and slaughtered mighty kings—

na ɔkumm ahemfo akunini no.

19 Sihon king of the Amorites

Ɔkumm Amorifoɔ ɔhene, Sihon,

20 and Og king of Bashan—

ne Basanhene, Og.

21 and He gave their land as an inheritance,

Na ɔde wɔn nsase maa sɛ agyapadeɛ.

22 a heritage to His servant Israel.

Ɔde maa ne ɔsomfoɔ Israel sɛ agyapadeɛ.

23 He remembered us in our low estate

Ɔkaee yɛn, yɛn mmerɛyɛ mu.

24 and freed us from our enemies.

Na ɔgyee yɛn firii yɛn atamfoɔ nsam.

25 He gives food to every creature.

Ɔno na ɔma abɔdeɛ biara aduane.

26 Give thanks to the God of heaven!
