Psalms 136

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good.

2 Give thanks to the God of gods.

3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords.

Monna awuranom mu Awurade no ase.

4 He alone does great wonders.

Ɔno nko ara na ɔyɛ anwonwade akɛse.

5 By His insight He made the heavens.

Ɔno na ofi ne ntease mu bɔɔ ɔsoro.

6 He spread out the earth upon the waters.

Ɔno na ɔtrɛw asase mu de kataa nsu so.

7 He made the great lights—

Ɔno na ɔbɔɔ akanea akɛse no.

8 the sun to rule the day,

Ɔbɔɔ owia sɛ enni adekyee so.

9 the moon and stars to govern the night.

Ɔbɔɔ sram ne nsoromma sɛ wonni adesae so no.

10 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt

Ɔno na okunkum Misraimfo mmakan,

11 and brought Israel out from among them

na oyii Israelfo fii wɔn mu no.

12 with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.

Ɔde nsa kɛse ne basa a wateɛ mu.

13 He divided the Red Sea in two

Ɔno na ɔpaee Po Kɔkɔɔ no mu no,

14 and led Israel through the midst,

na ɔde Israelfo faa mfimfini no.

15 but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea.

Nanso ɔpraa Farao ne nʼasraafo guu Po Kɔkɔɔ mu no.

16 He led His people through the wilderness.

Ɔno na odii ne nkurɔfo anim wɔ sare no so.

17 He struck down great kings

Ɔno na okum ahemfo akɛse no,

18 and slaughtered mighty kings—

na okum ahemfo akunini no.

19 Sihon king of the Amorites

Okum Amorifo hene, Sihon,

20 and Og king of Bashan—

ne Basanhene, Og.

21 and He gave their land as an inheritance,

Na ɔde wɔn nsase maa sɛ agyapade.

22 a heritage to His servant Israel.

Ɔde maa ne somfo Israel sɛ agyapade.

23 He remembered us in our low estate

Ɔkaee yɛn, yɛn mmerɛwyɛ mu.

24 and freed us from our enemies.

Na ogyee yɛn fii yɛn atamfo nsam.

25 He gives food to every creature.

Ɔno na ɔma abɔde biara aduan.

26 Give thanks to the God of heaven!
