Psalms 130

1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD!

Wallfahrtslieder. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich dich, Jahwe,

2 O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy.

Herr, höre auf meine Stimme! Möchten deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf mein lautes Flehn!

3 If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand?

Wenn du Verschuldungen im Gedächtnis bewahrtest, Jah, Herr, wer kann dann bestehen?

4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.

Vielmehr, bei dir steht die Vergebung, damit man dich fürchte.

5 I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.

Ich harre auf Jahwe; meine Seele harrt auf sein Wort.

6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning— more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Innig warte ich auf den Herrn, sehnsüchtiger, als Wächter auf den Morgen, als Wächter auf den Morgen.

7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.

Harre, Israel, auf Jahwe! Denn bei Jahwe ist die Gnade und bei ihm Erlösung in Fülle,

8 And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.

und er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Verschuldungen.
