Psalms 130

1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD!

Cantique des pèlerinages. Du fond de l'abîme, je t'invoque, ô Éternel!

2 O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy.

Seigneur, écoute ma voix! Que tes oreilles soient attentives A ma voix suppliante!

3 If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand?

Éternel, si tu tiens compte des iniquités, Seigneur, qui subsistera?

4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.

Mais le pardon se trouve auprès de toi. Afin qu'on te craigne!

5 I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.

J'ai mis mon espoir en l'Éternel; mon âme espère en lui, Et j'ai confiance en sa parole.

6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning— more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Mon âme attend le Seigneur, Plus que les sentinelles n'attendent le matin, Oui, plus que les sentinelles n'attendent le matin.

7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.

Israël, mets ton espoir en l'Éternel; Car en l'Éternel se trouve la miséricorde, Et la rédemption abonde auprès de lui!

8 And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.

C'est lui qui délivrera Israël De toutes ses iniquités.
