< Psalms 129 >
1 A song of ascents. Many a time they have persecuted me from my youth— let Israel now declare—
Thaburi ya Agendi Maanahinyĩrĩria mũno kuuma ũnini-inĩ wakwa, Isiraeli nĩmakiuge ũguo,
2 many a time they have persecuted me from my youth, but they have not prevailed against me.
maanahinyĩrĩria mũno kuuma ũnini-inĩ wakwa, no rĩrĩ, matirĩ maahota kũndooria.
3 The plowmen plowed over my back; they made their furrows long.
Andũ arĩa marĩmaga na mũraũ marĩmĩte ngʼongʼo wakwa, magatema mĩtaro mĩraihu.
4 The LORD is righteous; He has cut me from the cords of the wicked.
No rĩrĩ, Jehova nĩ mũthingu; nĩanjohorithĩtie harĩ mĩhĩndo ya andũ arĩa aaganu.
5 May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame.
Andũ arĩa othe mathũire Zayuni marocookio na thuutha maconokete.
6 May they be like grass on the rooftops, which withers before it can grow,
Marohaana ta nyeki ĩrĩ nyũmba igũrũ, ĩrĩa ĩhoohaga ĩtanamera;
7 unable to fill the hands of the reaper, or the arms of the binder of sheaves.
mũmĩtui ndangĩmĩiyũria hĩ-inĩ ciake, o na kana ũrĩa ũmĩũnganagia amĩiyũrie moko-inĩ make.
8 May none who pass by say to them, “The blessing of the LORD be on you; we bless you in the name of the LORD.”
Andũ arĩa mahĩtũkagĩra kuo maroaga kuuga atĩrĩ, “Kĩrathimo kĩa Jehova kĩrogĩa igũrũ rĩanyu; nĩtwamũrathima thĩinĩ wa rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova.”
