Psalms 118
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
யெகோவாவுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள், அவர் நல்லவர்; அவருடைய அன்பு என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது.
2 Let Israel say, “His loving devotion endures forever.”
“அவருடைய அன்பு என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது” என்று இஸ்ரயேலர் சொல்வார்களாக.
3 Let the house of Aaron say, “His loving devotion endures forever.”
“அவருடைய அன்பு என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது” என்று ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தவரான ஆசாரியர்கள் சொல்வார்களாக.
4 Let those who fear the LORD say, “His loving devotion endures forever.”
“அவருடைய அன்பு என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது” என்று யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிறவர்கள் சொல்வார்களாக.
5 In my distress I called to the LORD, and He answered and set me free.
நான் நெருக்கத்திலிருந்து யெகோவாவைக் கூப்பிட்டேன் எனக்குப் பதிலளித்து, விசாலமான இடத்தில் என்னை நடத்தினார்.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
யெகோவா என்னோடு இருக்கிறார், நான் பயப்படமாட்டேன்; மனிதன் எனக்கு என்ன செய்யமுடியும்?
7 The LORD is on my side; He is my helper. Therefore I will look in triumph on those who hate me.
யெகோவா என்னோடு இருக்கிறார், அவரே என் உதவியாளர்; என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்கு நேரிடுவதை நான் காண்பேன்.
8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
மனிதனில் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பதைப் பார்க்கிலும், யெகோவாவிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைவதே மேலானது.
9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
அதிகாரிகள் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைப்பதைப் பார்க்கிலும், யெகோவாவிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைவதே சிறந்தது.
10 All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
எல்லா மக்களும் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் யெகோவாவின் பெயரில் நான் அவர்களை மேற்கொண்டேன்.
11 They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
அவர்கள் எல்லாப் பக்கங்களிலும் என்னை வளைத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் யெகோவாவின் பெயரிலேயே நான் அவர்களை மேற்கொண்டேன்.
12 They swarmed around me like bees, but they were extinguished like burning thorns; in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
அவர்கள் தேனீக்களைப்போல என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் எரியும் முட்செடிகளைப்போல் விரைவாக மறைந்துபோனார்கள்; யெகோவாவின் பெயரால் நான் அவர்களை மேற்கொண்டேன்.
13 I was pushed so hard I was falling, but the LORD helped me.
நான் பின்னோக்கித் தள்ளப்பட்டு, விழப்போனேன்; ஆனால் யெகோவாவோ எனக்கு உதவி செய்தார்.
14 The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.
யெகோவா என் பெலமும், என் பாடலுமாய் இருக்கிறார்; அவரே எனக்கு இரட்சிப்புமானார்.
15 Shouts of joy and salvation resound in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD performs with valor!
நீதிமான்களின் கூடாரங்களில், வெற்றியின் மகிழ்ச்சிக் குரல் திரும்பத்திரும்ப ஒலிக்கின்றன: “யெகோவாவின் வலதுகரம் வல்லமையான செயல்களைச் செய்திருக்கிறது.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD performs with valor!”
யெகோவாவின் வலதுகரம் உயர்ந்திருக்கிறது; யெகோவாவின் வலதுகரம் வல்லமையான காரியங்களைச் செய்திருக்கிறது.”
17 I will not die, but I will live and proclaim what the LORD has done.
நான் வாழுவேன், சாகமாட்டேன். நான் வாழ்ந்து யெகோவா செய்தவற்றை அறிவிப்பேன்.
18 The LORD disciplined me severely, but He has not given me over to death.
யெகோவா என்னைக் கடுமையாகத் தண்டித்தார், ஆனாலும் அவர் என்னை மரணத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவில்லை.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter and give thanks to the LORD.
நீதியின் வாசல்களை எனக்காகத் திறவுங்கள்; நான் உள்ளே சென்று யெகோவாவுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவேன்.
20 This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it.
இதுவே யெகோவாவின் வாசல்; நீதிமான்கள் அதின் உள்ளே செல்வார்கள்.
21 I will give You thanks, for You have answered me, and You have become my salvation.
நீர் எனக்குப் பதிலளித்தபடியால், நான் உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்; என் இரட்சிப்பு நீரே.
22 The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
வீடு கட்டுகிறவர்கள் புறக்கணித்த கல்லே மூலைக்குத் தலைக்கல்லாயிற்று.
23 This is from the LORD, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
யெகோவாவே இதைச் செய்தார், இது நமது கண்களுக்கு ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கிறது.
24 This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
யெகோவா உண்டாக்கின நாள் இதுவே; இதிலே நாம் மகிழ்ந்து களிகூருவோம்.
25 O LORD, save us, we pray. We beseech You, O LORD, cause us to prosper!
யெகோவாவே, எங்களை இரட்சியும்; யெகோவாவே, எங்களுக்கு வெற்றியைத் தாரும்.
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you.
யெகோவாவின் பெயரில் வருகிறவர் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்; யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறோம்.
27 The LORD is God; He has made His light to shine upon us. Bind the festal sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.
யெகோவாவே இறைவன், அவர் தமது ஒளியை நம்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்திருக்கிறார்; பண்டிகை பலியைக் கையில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளில் கயிற்றைக் கட்டி ஊர்வலத்தில் கலந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
28 You are my God, and I will give You thanks. You are my God, and I will exalt You.
நீரே என் இறைவன், நான் உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவேன்; நீரே என் இறைவன், நான் உம்மைப் புகழ்ந்து உயர்த்துவேன்.
29 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
யெகோவாவுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள், அவர் நல்லவர்; அவருடைய அன்பு என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது.
