< Psalms 114 >
1 When Israel departed from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,
Kane jo-Israel owuok Misri, ee, kane joka Jakobo owuok e kind joma wacho dhok mopogore,
2 Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel His dominion.
Juda nodoko kama ler mar lemo mar Nyasaye, kendo Israel nobedo mwandune owuon.
3 The sea observed and fled; the Jordan turned back;
Nam nonenogi mi oa gi ngʼwech, kendo Jordan ne odar oweyonigi piny,
4 the mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
gode nolengʼore ka imbe, to thuche to nochikore ka nyirombe.
5 Why was it, O sea, that you fled, O Jordan, that you turned back,
Angʼo momiyo ne ia gi ngʼwech, yaye nam? Yaye Jordan, ne idar iweyonegi piny nangʼo?
6 O mountains, that you skipped like rams, O hills, like lambs?
To un gode to ne ulengʼoru ka imbe nangʼo? Koso thuche to nochikore ka nyirombe nikech angʼo?
7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,
Yaye piny, yiengni ka Ruoth Nyasaye ni machiegni kodi, yiengni e nyim Nyasach Jakobo,
8 who turned the rock into a pool, the flint into a fountain of water!
Nyasaye mane omiyo lwanda olokore pi mogudore, kendo mane omiyo lwanda matek olokore sokni mag pi.
