< Proverbs 26 >

1 Like snow in summer and rain at harvest, honor does not befit a fool.
Kamar ƙanƙara a rani ko ruwan sama a lokacin girbi, haka girmamawa bai dace da wawa ba.
2 Like a fluttering sparrow or darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.
Kamar gwara mai yawo ko alallaka mai firiya, haka yake da la’anar da ba tă dace tă kama ka ba take.
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools!
Bulala don doki, linzami don jaki, sanda kuma don bayan wawaye!
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be like him.
Kada ka amsa wa wawa bisa ga wautarsa, in ba haka ba kai kanka za ka zama kamar sa.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he become wise in his own eyes.
Ka amsa wa wawa bisa ga wautarsa, in ba haka ba zai ga kansa mai hikima ne.
6 Like cutting off one’s own feet or drinking violence is the sending of a message by the hand of a fool.
Kamar datsewar ƙafafun wani ko shan dafi haka yake da a aika da saƙo ta hannun wawa.
7 Like lame legs hanging limp is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.
Kamar ƙafafun gurgun da suka yi laƙwas haka karin magana yake a bakin wawa.
8 Like binding a stone into a sling is the giving of honor to a fool.
Kamar ɗaura dutse a majajjawa haka yake da girmama wawa.
9 Like a thorn that falls into the hand of a drunkard is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.
Kamar suƙar ƙaya a hannun wanda ya bugu haka karin magana yake a bakin wawa.
10 Like an archer who wounds at random is he who hires a fool or passerby.
Kamar maharbi wanda yake jin wa kowa rauni haka yake da duk wanda ya yi hayan wawa ko wani mai wucewa.
11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.
Kamar yadda kare kan koma ga amansa, haka wawa kan maimaita wautarsa.
12 Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Gwamma riƙaƙƙen wawa da mutum mai ganin kansa mai hikima ne.
13 The slacker says, “A lion is in the road! A fierce lion roams the public square!”
Rago yakan ce, “Akwai zaki a kan hanya, zaki mai faɗa yana yawo a tituna!”
14 As a door turns on its hinges, so the slacker turns on his bed.
Kamar yadda ƙofa kan juya a ƙyaurensa, haka rago yake jujjuya a gadonsa.
15 The slacker buries his hand in the dish; it wearies him to bring it back to his mouth.
Rago kan sa hannunsa a kwano ba ya ma iya ɗaga shi ya kai bakinsa.
16 The slacker is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who answer discreetly.
Rago yana gani yana da hikima fiye da mutane bakwai da suke ba da amsa da dalilai a kan ra’ayinsu.
17 Like one who grabs a dog by the ears is a passerby who meddles in a quarrel not his own.
Kamar wani da ya kama kare a kunnuwa haka yake da mai wucewa da ya tsoma baki a faɗan da ba ruwansa.
18 Like a madman shooting firebrands and deadly arrows,
Kamar yadda mahaukaci yake harbin cukwimai ko kibiyoyi masu dafi
19 so is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, “I was only joking!”
haka yake da mutumin da ya ruɗe maƙwabci sa’an nan ya ce, “Wasa ne kawai nake yi!”
20 Without wood, a fire goes out; without gossip, a conflict ceases.
In ba itace wuta takan mutu; haka kuma in ba mai gulma ba za a yi faɗa ba.
21 Like charcoal for embers and wood for fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.
Kamar yadda gawayi yake ga murhu, itace kuma ga wuta, haka mutum mai neman faɗa yake ga faɗa.
22 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels that go down into the inmost being.
Kalmomin mai gulma suna kama da burodi mai daɗi; sukan gangara can cikin cikin mutum.
23 Like glaze covering an earthen vessel are burning lips and a wicked heart.
Kamar kaskon da aka dalaye da azurfar da ba a tace ba haka leɓuna masu mugun zuciya.
24 A hateful man disguises himself with his speech, but he lays up deceit in his heart.
Mai yin ƙiyayya yakan ɓoye kansa da maganar bakinsa, amma a cikin zuciyarsa yana cike da munafunci
25 When he speaks graciously, do not believe him, for seven abominations fill his heart.
Ko da jawabinsa ya ɗauki hankali, kada ka gaskata shi, gama abubuwa ƙyama guda bakwai sun cika zuciyarsa.
26 Though his hatred is concealed by deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.
Wataƙila ya ɓoye ƙiyayyarsa da ƙarya, duk da haka za a tone muguntarsa a cikin taro.
27 He who digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.
In mutum ya haƙa rami, shi zai fāɗi a ciki; in mutum ya mirgino dutse, dutsen zai mirgine a kansa.
28 A lying tongue hates those it crushes, and a flattering mouth causes ruin.
Harshe mai faɗin ƙarya yana ƙin waɗanda yake ɓata musu rai, daɗin baki kuma yakan aikata ɓarna.
