< Proverbs 25 >
1 These are additional proverbs of Solomon, which were copied by the men of Hezekiah king of Judah:
Waɗannan ƙarin karin maganar Solomon ne waɗanda mutanen Hezekiya sarkin Yahuda suka tara.
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out.
Ɗaukakar Allah ce a ɓoye batun; a bayyana batun kuwa ɗaukakar sarakuna ne.
3 As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings cannot be searched.
Kamar yadda sammai suna can bisa duniya kuma tana da zurfi, haka zukatan sarakuna suka wuce a bincika.
4 Remove the dross from the silver, and a vessel for a silversmith will come forth.
Ka tace azurfa sai kayan su fito don maƙerin azurfa;
5 Remove the wicked from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established in righteousness.
ka cire mugaye daga gaban sarki, kursiyinsa kuwa zai kahu ta wurin adalci.
6 Do not exalt yourself in the presence of the king, and do not stand in the place of great men;
Kada ka ɗaukaka kanka a gaban sarki, kada kuma ka nemi wa kanka wuri a cikin manyan mutane;
7 for it is better that he says to you, “Come up here!” than that you should be demoted in the presence of the prince. Even what you have seen with your own eyes,
gara ya ce maka, “Ka hauro nan,” da a ƙasƙantar da kai a gaban wani mai makami. Abin da ka gani da idanunka
8 do not bring hastily to court. Otherwise, what will you do in the end when your neighbor puts you to shame?
kada ka yi garaje kai ƙara a majalisa, gama me za ka yi a ƙarshe in maƙwabcinka ya ba ka kunya?
9 Argue your case with your neighbor without betraying another’s confidence,
In kai da maƙwabcinka kuka yi gardama, kada ka tona asirin wani,
10 lest the one who hears may disgrace you, and your infamy never go away.
in ba haka ba duk wanda ya ji zai kunyata ka ba za ka kuma taɓa rabuwa da wannan mummuna suna ba.
11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
Kalmar da aka faɗa daidai tana kamar zubin zinariyar da aka yi a mazubin azurfa.
12 Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is a wise man’s rebuke to a listening ear.
Kamar’yan kunnen zinariya ko kuwa kayan ado na zinariya zalla haka yake da tsawatawar mai hikima ga kunne mai saurarawa.
13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a trustworthy messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the soul of his masters.
Kamar sanyin ƙanƙara a lokacin girbi haka ɗan saƙo mai aminci wanda aka aika; ya wartsakar da ran waɗanda suka aike shi.
14 Like clouds and wind without rain is the man who boasts of gifts never given.
Kamar gizagizai da kuma iska marar ruwan sama haka mutumin da yake fariya a kan kyautan da ba ya bayarwa.
15 Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.
Ta wurin haƙuri akan rinjaye mai mulki, magana mai hankali kan karye ƙashi.
16 If you find honey, eat just what you need, lest you have too much and vomit it up.
In ka sami zuma, ka sha isashe kawai, in ya yi yawa, za ka yi amai.
17 Seldom set foot in your neighbor’s house, lest he grow weary and hate you.
Kada ka cika ziyarar gidan maƙwabcinka yawan ganinka zai sa ya ƙi ka.
18 Like a club or sword or sharp arrow is a man who bears false witness against his neighbor.
Kamar sanda ko takobi ko kibiya mai tsini haka yake da mutumin da yake ba da shaidar ƙarya a kan maƙwabcinsa.
19 Like a broken tooth or a foot out of joint is confidence in a faithless man in time of trouble.
Kamar haƙori mai ciwo ko yin tafiya da gurguwar ƙafa haka yake ga mai dogara da marasa aminci a lokacin wahala.
20 Like one who removes a garment on a cold day or vinegar poured on a wound is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
Kamar wanda ya tuɓe riga a ranar da ake sanyi, ko kuwa kamar zuba ruwan tsami a kanwa, haka yake da mai rera waƙoƙi ga mai baƙin ciki.
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
In abokin gābanka yana jin yunwa, ka ba shi abinci ya ci; in yana jin ƙishi, ka ba shi ruwa ya sha.
22 For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.
Ta yin haka, za ka tara garwashin wuta mai ci a kansa, Ubangiji kuma zai sāka maka.
23 As the north wind brings forth rain, so a backbiting tongue brings angry looks.
Kamar yadda iskar arewa kan kawo ruwan sama, haka jita-jita kan kawo fushi.
24 Better to live on a corner of the roof than to share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
Gara a zauna a kusurwar rufin ɗaki da a zauna a gida ɗaya da mace mai fitina.
25 Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.
Kamar ruwan sanyi ga ran da ya gaji haka yake da jin labari mai daɗi daga ƙasa mai nisa.
26 Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.
Kamar rafi mai laka ko rijiyar da ta gurɓace haka yake da mai adalci wanda ya miƙa wuya ga mugaye.
27 It is not good to eat too much honey or to search out one’s own glory.
Ba shi da kyau ka sha zuma da yawa, haka ma ba shi da kyau ka nemi girma wa kanka.
28 Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who does not control his temper.
Kamar birni da katangarsa sun rushe haka yake da mutumin da ba ya iya danne fushinsa.
