< Proverbs 12 >

1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
Moto oyo alingaka koyekola alingaka boyebi, kasi moto oyo aboyaka pamela azali zoba.
2 The good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a man who devises evil.
Moto ya malamu azwaka ngolu na miso ya Yawe, kasi Nzambe akatelaka moto ya mayele mabe etumbu.
3 A man cannot be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted.
Motema mabe elendisaka moto te; mosisa ya bato ya sembo ekatanaka te.
4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but she who causes shame is like decay in his bones.
Mwasi ya malamu azali motole ya mobali na ye, kasi mwasi oyo ayokisaka soni azali lokola bokono oyo ezali kolia mikuwa.
5 The plans of the righteous are just, but the counsel of the wicked leads to deceit.
Mabongisi ya bayengebene ezalaka ya sembo, kasi makanisi ya bato mabe ezalaka kaka lokuta.
6 The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.
Maloba ya bato mabe ezali mitambo mpo na kosopa makila, kasi maloba ya bayengebene ebikisaka bango.
7 The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the house of the righteous will stand.
Bato mabe bakokweyisama mpe bakozala lisusu te, kasi ndako ya bayengebene ekowumela seko.
8 A man is praised according to his wisdom, but a twisted mind is despised.
Bwanya epesaka moto lokumu, kasi motema mabe ememaka kotiolama.
9 Better to be lightly esteemed yet have a servant, than to be self-important but lack food.
Eleki malamu kozala moto pamba mpe kozala na mosali, na esika ya komimona moto monene mpe kozanga bilei.
10 A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are only cruelty.
Moto ya sembo ayebaka ata baposa ya bibwele na ye, kasi motema ya moto mabe eyokaka mawa te.
11 The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies lacks judgment.
Moto oyo asalaka bilanga atondaka na bilei, kasi moto oyo alandaka bagoyigoyi azangi mayele.
12 The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
Moto mabe alingaka misuni ya bato mabe, kasi mosisa ya bayengebene ebotaka mingi.
13 An evil man is trapped by his rebellious speech, but a righteous man escapes from trouble.
Moto ya misala mabe akangamaka na motambo ya maloba na ye ya lokuta, kasi moyengebene akobika kati na pasi.
14 By fruitful speech a man is filled with good things, and the work of his hands returns to him.
Na nzela ya mbuma ya monoko na ye, moto akotondisama na bolamu; mpe moto akozwa lifuti ya misala ya maboko na ye.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel.
Nzela ya moto oyo azangi mayele emonanaka alima na miso na ye, kasi moto oyo ayokaka toli azali moto ya bwanya.
16 A fool’s anger is known at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
Kotomboka ya moto oyo azangi mayele eyebanaka kaka mokolo wana, kasi moto ya mayele abombaka soni na ye.
17 He who speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.
Motatoli ya malamu apesaka matatoli ya solo, kasi motatoli ya mabe apesaka matatoli ya lokuta.
18 Speaking rashly is like a piercing sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Maloba ya bato oyo balobaka mingi ezokisaka lokola mopanga, kasi lolemo ya bato ya bwanya ezali lokola mafuta oyo ebikisaka.
19 Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
Moto oyo alobaka solo akowumela mpo na libela, kasi mokosi akowumela kaka mpo na tango moke.
20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who devise evil, but the counselors of peace have joy.
Lokuta ezalaka kati na mitema ya bato oyo basalaka mabongisi ya mabe, kasi esengo ezali mpo na bato oyo bakopesaka batoli ya kimia.
21 No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.
Mabe moko te ekokomela bayengebene, kasi bato mabe bakotondisama na pasi.
22 Lying lips are detestable to the LORD, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.
Bibebu oyo ekosaka ezali nkele na miso ya Yawe, kasi bibebu oyo ekokisaka bosembo ezalaka elengi na miso na Ye.
23 A shrewd man keeps his knowledge to himself, but a foolish heart proclaims its folly.
Moto ya mayele abombaka boyebi, kasi motema ya zoba etatolaka makambo ya bozoba.
24 The hand of the diligent will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
Maboko oyo esalaka ezwaka bokonzi, kasi maboko ya goyigoyi ememaka na bowumbu.
25 Anxiety weighs down the heart of a man, but a good word cheers it up.
Motema oyo etondi na komitungisa ekobuka moto, kasi liloba ya esengo esepelisaka moto.
26 A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.
Moyengebene alakisaka baninga na ye nzela, kasi nzela ya moto mabe ebungisaka ye moko moto mabe.
27 A lazy man does not roast his game, but a diligent man prizes his possession.
Moto ya goyigoyi azangaka bilei, mpe moto ya nzunzu akomaka mozwi monene.
28 There is life in the path of righteousness, but another path leads to death.
Bomoi ezalaka kati na nzela ya bosembo, mpe kufa ezalaka te kati na nzela ya bosembo.
