< Numbers 1 >
1 On the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, the LORD spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Wilderness of Sinai. He said:
Premye jou dezyèm mwa nan dezyèm lanne depi moun pèp Izrayèl yo te soti kite peyi Lejip la, antan yo te nan dezè Sinayi a, Seyè a pale ak Moyiz nan Tant Randevou a. Li di l' konsa:
2 “Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.
3 You and Aaron are to number those who are twenty years of age or older by their divisions—everyone who can serve in Israel’s army.
N'a fè resansman an dapre jan lame a òganize.
4 And one man from each tribe, the head of each family, must be there with you.
N'a pran yon chèf nan chak branch fanmi, dapre zansèt yo, pou ede nou.
5 These are the names of the men who are to assist you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;
Men non moun ki va ede nou nan resansman an: Nan branch fanmi Woubenn lan, se va Elizou, pitit gason Chedeyou.
6 from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
Nan branch fanmi Simeyon an, se va Cheloumyèl, pitit gason Sourichadayi.
7 from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;
Nan branch fanmi Jida a, se va Nakchon, pitit gason Aminadab.
8 from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;
Nan branch fanmi Isaka a, se va Netanèl, pitit gason Swa.
9 from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;
Nan branch fanmi Zabilon an, se va Eliyab, pitit gason Elon.
10 from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud, and from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;
Nan branch fanmi Efrayim, premye pitit gason Jozèf la, se va Elichama, pitit gason Amiyoud. Nan branch fanmi Manase, dezyèm pitit gason Jozèf la, se va Gamliyèl, pitit gason Pedachou.
11 from Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;
Nan branch fanmi Benjamen an, se va Abidan, pitit gason Gideyoni.
12 from Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;
Nan branch fanmi Dann lan, se va Ayezè, pitit gason Amichadayi.
13 from Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran;
Nan branch fanmi Asè a, se va Pagiyèl, pitit gason Okran.
14 from Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;
15 and from Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.”
Nan branch fanmi Neftali a, se va Ayira, pitit gason Enan.
16 These men were appointed from the congregation; they were the leaders of the tribes of their fathers, the heads of the clans of Israel.
17 So Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name,
Moyiz ak Arawon pran douz mesye Bondye te nonmen yo,
18 and on the first day of the second month they assembled the whole congregation and recorded their ancestry by clans and families, counting one by one the names of those twenty years of age or older,
19 just as the LORD had commanded Moses. So Moses numbered them in the Wilderness of Sinai:
dapre lòd Seyè a te bay Moyiz la. Se nan dezè Sinayi a yo te fè resansman tout pèp la.
20 From the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, according to the records of their clans and families, counting one by one the names of every male twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Yo pran non yo yonn apre lòt, yo di pitit ki moun yo ye, dapre fanmi yo, dapre branch fanmi zansèt yo.
21 those registered to the tribe of Reuben numbered 46,500.
Yo jwenn karannsimil senksan (46.500) gason pou branch fanmi Woubenn lan.
22 From the sons of Simeon, according to the records of their clans and families, counting one by one the names of every male twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

yo jwenn senkantnèfmil twasan (59.300) gason.
24 From the sons of Gad, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

yo jwenn karannsenkmil sisansenkant (45.650) gason.
26 From the sons of Judah, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

yo jwenn swasannkatòzmil sisan (74.600) gason.
28 From the sons of Issachar, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Isaka a,
29 those registered to the tribe of Issachar numbered 54,400.
yo jwenn senkannkatmil katsan (54.400) gason.
30 From the sons of Zebulun, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Zabilon an,
31 those registered to the tribe of Zebulun numbered 57,400.
yo jwenn senkannsètmil katsan (57.400) gason.
32 From the sons of Joseph: From the sons of Ephraim, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Efrayim, premye pitit gason Jozèf la,
33 those registered to the tribe of Ephraim numbered 40,500.
yo jwenn karantmil senksan (40.500) gason.
34 And from the sons of Manasseh, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Manase, dezyèm pitit gason Jozèf la,
35 those registered to the tribe of Manasseh numbered 32,200.
yo jwenn tranndemil desan (32.200) gason.
36 From the sons of Benjamin, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Benjamen an,
37 those registered to the tribe of Benjamin numbered 35,400.
yo jwenn trannsenkmil katsan (35.400) gason.

yo jwenn swasanndemil sètsan (62.700) gason.
40 From the sons of Asher, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Asè a,
41 those registered to the tribe of Asher numbered 41,500.
yo jwenn karanteyenmil senksan (41.500) gason.
42 From the sons of Naphtali, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Pou branch fanmi Neftali a,
43 those registered to the tribe of Naphtali numbered 53,400.
yo jwenn senkanntwamil katsan (53.400) gason.
44 These were the men numbered by Moses and Aaron, with the assistance of the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.
Se non tout moun sa yo Moyiz ak Arawon te pran lè sa a. Te gen douz chèf, yonn pou chak branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl la, ki t'ap ede yo nan travay la.
45 So all the Israelites twenty years of age or older who could serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.
Pou tout branch fanmi yo ansanm,
46 And all those counted totaled 603,550.
yo jwenn sisantwamil senksansenkant (603.550) gason.
47 The Levites, however, were not numbered along with them by the tribe of their fathers.
Men yo pa t' fè resansman branch fanmi Levi a ansanm ak lòt branch fanmi yo,
48 For the LORD had said to Moses:
paske Seyè a te di Moyiz konsa:
49 “Do not number the tribe of Levi in the census with the other Israelites.
-Ou pa bezwen fè resansman branch fanmi Levi a. Ou pa bezwen konte moun fanmi Levi yo ansanm ak rès moun pèp Izrayèl yo.
50 Instead, you are to appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles, care for it, and camp around it.
51 Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever it is to be pitched, the Levites are to set it up. Any outsider who goes near it must be put to death.
52 The Israelites are to camp by their divisions, each man in his own camp and under his own standard.
Lòt moun pèp Izrayèl yo menm va moute tant yo apa, chak fanmi ansanm bò làbanyè yo, dapre pozisyon yo nan lame a.
53 But the Levites are to camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony and watch over it, so that no wrath will fall on the congregation of Israel. So the Levites are responsible for the tabernacle of the Testimony.”
Men, moun fanmi Levi yo va moute kay yo fè wonn Tant Randevou a pou kòlè Bondye pa tonbe sou pèp Izrayèl la.
54 Thus the Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Moun pèp Izrayèl yo te fè tou sa Seyè a te bay Moyiz lòd fè a. Se konsa yo te fè l' vre.
