Numbers 34
1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
locutus est Dominus ad Mosen
2 “Command the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, it will be allotted to you as an inheritance with these boundaries:
praecipe filiis Israhel et dices ad eos cum ingressi fueritis terram Chanaan et in possessionem vobis sorte ceciderit his finibus terminabitur
3 Your southern border will extend from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom. On the east, your southern border will run from the end of the Salt Sea,
pars meridiana incipiet a solitudine Sin quae est iuxta Edom et habebit terminos contra orientem mare Salsissimum
4 cross south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and go south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it will go on to Hazar-addar and proceed to Azmon,
qui circumibunt australem plagam per ascensum Scorpionis ita ut transeant Senna et perveniant in meridiem usque ad Cadesbarne unde egredientur confinia ad villam nomine Addar et tendent usque Asemona
5 where it will turn from Azmon, join the Brook of Egypt, and end at the Sea.
ibitque per gyrum terminus ab Asemona usque ad torrentem Aegypti et maris Magni litore finietur
6 Your western border will be the coastline of the Great Sea; this will be your boundary on the west.
plaga autem occidentalis a mari Magno incipiet et ipso fine cludetur
7 Your northern border will run from the Great Sea directly to Mount Hor,
porro ad septentrionalem plagam a mari Magno termini incipient pervenientes usque ad montem Altissimum
8 and from Mount Hor to Lebo-hamath, then extend to Zedad,
a quo venies in Emath usque ad terminos Sedada
9 continue to Ziphron, and end at Hazar-enan. This will be your boundary on the north.
ibuntque confinia usque Zephrona et villam Henan hii erunt termini in parte aquilonis
10 And your eastern border will run straight from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
inde metabuntur fines contra orientalem plagam de villa Henan usque Sephama
11 then go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Chinnereth.
et de Sephama descendent termini in Rebla contra fontem inde pervenient contra orientem ad mare Chenereth
12 Then the border will go down along the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. This will be your land, defined by its borders on all sides.”
et tendent usque Iordanem et ad ultimum Salsissimo cludentur mari hanc habebitis terram per fines suos in circuitu
13 So Moses commanded the Israelites, “Apportion this land by lot as an inheritance. The LORD has commanded that it be given to the nine and a half tribes.
praecepitque Moses filiis Israhel dicens haec erit terra quam possidebitis sorte et quam iussit dari Dominus novem tribubus et dimidiae tribui
14 For the tribes of the Reubenites and Gadites, along with the half-tribe of Manasseh, have already received their inheritance.
tribus enim filiorum Ruben per familias suas et tribus filiorum Gad iuxta cognationum numerum media quoque tribus Manasse
15 These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
id est duae semis tribus acceperunt partem suam trans Iordanem contra Hiericho ad orientalem plagam
16 Then the LORD said to Moses,
et ait Dominus ad Mosen
17 “These are the names of the men who are to assign the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.
haec sunt nomina virorum qui terram vobis divident Eleazar sacerdos et Iosue filius Nun
18 Appoint one leader from each tribe to distribute the land.
et singuli principes de tribubus singulis
19 These are their names: Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;
quorum ista sunt vocabula de tribu Iuda Chaleb filius Iepphonne
20 Shemuel son of Ammihud from the tribe of Simeon;
de tribu Symeon Samuhel filius Ammiud
21 Elidad son of Chislon from the tribe of Benjamin;
de tribu Beniamin Helidad filius Chaselon
22 Bukki son of Jogli, a leader from the tribe of Dan;
de tribu filiorum Dan Bocci filius Iogli
23 Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph;
filiorum Ioseph de tribu Manasse Hannihel filius Ephod
24 Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim;
de tribu Ephraim Camuhel filius Sephtan
25 Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun;
de tribu Zabulon Elisaphan filius Pharnach
26 Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar;
de tribu Isachar dux Faltihel filius Ozan
27 Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher;
de tribu Aser Ahiud filius Salomi
28 and Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”
de tribu Nepthali Phedahel filius Ameiud
29 These are the ones whom the LORD commanded to apportion the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
hii sunt quibus praecepit Dominus ut dividerent filiis Israhel terram Chanaan
