Numbers 26
1 After the plague had ended, the LORD said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,
Después que terminó la enfermedad, el Señor dijo a Moisés y Eleazar, el hijo del sacerdote Aarón:
2 “Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by the houses of their fathers—all those twenty years of age or older who can serve in the army of Israel.”
Que todos los hijos de Israel sean contados por los nombres de las familias de sus padres, todos aquellos de veinte años o más que puedan ir a la guerra en Israel.
3 So on the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest issued the instruction,
Entonces Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar les dieron la orden en las tierras bajas de Moab, junto al Jordán en Jericó, diciendo:
4 “Take a census of the men twenty years of age or older, as the LORD has commanded Moses.” And these were the Israelites who came out of the land of Egypt:
Sea contado todo el pueblo de veinte años o más, como el Señor ha dado órdenes a Moisés y a los hijos de Israel que han salido de Egipto.
5 Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. These were the descendants of Reuben: The Hanochite clan from Hanoch, the Palluite clan from Pallu,
Rubén, el primer hijo de Israel: los hijos de Rubén por sus familias: de Enoc, la familia de los enoquitas; de Falú, la familia de los faulitas.
6 the Hezronite clan from Hezron, and the Carmite clan from Carmi.
De Hezrón, la familia de los Hezronitas; de Carmi, la familia de los Carmitas.
7 These were the clans of Reuben, and their registration numbered 43,730.
Estas son las familias de los rubenitas: su número era cuarenta y tres mil setecientos treinta.
8 Now the son of Pallu was Eliab,
Y los hijos de Falú, Eliab.
9 and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. It was Dathan and Abiram, chosen by the congregation, who fought against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah who rebelled against the LORD.
Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Estos son los mismos Datán y Abiram que tuvieron un lugar en la reunión de la gente, quienes junto con Coré hicieron un clamor contra Moisés y Aarón y contra el Señor.
10 And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire consumed 250 men. They serve as a warning sign.
Y descendieron a la boca abierta de la tierra, junto con Coré, cuando la muerte lo alcanzó a él y a todos sus seguidores; en el momento en que doscientos cincuenta hombres fueron quemados en el fuego, y se convirtieron en una advertencia para los demás.
11 However, the line of Korah did not die out.
Pero la muerte no alcanzó a los hijos de Coré.
12 These were the descendants of Simeon by their clans: The Nemuelite clan from Nemuel, the Jaminite clan from Jamin, the Jachinite clan from Jachin,
Los hijos de Simeón por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia de los nemuelitas; de Jamin, la familia de los jaminitas; de Jachin, la familia de los jachinitas:
13 the Zerahite clan from Zerah, and the Shaulite clan from Shaul.
De Zera, la familia de los Zeritas; de Saúl, la familia de los Saulitas.
14 These were the clans of Simeon, and there were 22,200 men.
Estas son las familias de los simeonitas, veintidós mil doscientos.
15 These were the descendants of Gad by their clans: The Zephonite clan from Zephon, the Haggite clan from Haggi, the Shunite clan from Shuni,
Los hijos de Gad por sus familias: de Zefón, la familia de los Zefonitas; de Hagui, la familia de los haguitas; de Suni, la familia de los Sunitas;
16 the Oznite clan from Ozni, the Erite clan from Eri,

17 the Arodite clan from Arod, and the Arelite clan from Areli.

18 These were the clans of Gad, and their registration numbered 40,500.

19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan, but they died in the land of Canaan.
Los hijos de Judá, Er y Onán. Y Er y Onán habían muerto en la tierra de Canaán.
20 These were the descendants of Judah by their clans: The Shelanite clan from Shelah, the Perezite clan from Perez, and the Zerahite clan from Zerah.
Y los hijos de Judá, por sus familias, fueron: de Sela, la familia de los salaitas; de Pérez, la familia de los habitantes de Pérez: de Zera, la familia de los zeraítas.
21 And these were the descendants of Perez: the Hezronite clan from Hezron and the Hamulite clan from Hamul.
Y los hijos de Fares fueron de Hezrón, la familia de los Hezronitas; de Hamul, la familia de los Hamulitas.
22 These were the clans of Judah, and their registration numbered 76,500.
Estas son las familias de Judá como fueron contadas, setenta y seis mil quinientas.
23 These were the descendants of Issachar by their clans: The Tolaite clan from Tola, the Punite clan from Puvah,
Los hijos de Isacar por sus familias: de Tola, la familia de los tolaítas; de Fúa, la familia de los funitas.
24 the Jashubite clan from Jashub, and the Shimronite clan from Shimron.
De Jasub, la familia de los Jasubitas; de Simron, la familia de los Simronitas.
25 These were the clans of Issachar, and their registration numbered 64,300.

26 These were the descendants of Zebulun by their clans: The Seredite clan from Sered, the Elonite clan from Elon, and the Jahleelite clan from Jahleel.

27 These were the clans of Zebulun, and their registration numbered 60,500.

28 The descendants of Joseph included the clans of Manasseh and Ephraim.
Los hijos de José por sus familias: Manasés y Efraín.
29 These were the descendants of Manasseh: The Machirite clan from Machir, the father of Gilead, and the Gileadite clan from Gilead.
Los hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia de los maquiritas; y Maquir, padre de Galaad, de Galaad, la familia de los galaaditas.
30 These were the descendants of Gilead: the Iezerite clan from Iezer, the Helekite clan from Helek,
Estos son los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer, la familia de los jezeritas; de Helec, la familia de los Helequitas;
31 the Asrielite clan from Asriel, the Shechemite clan from Shechem,
Y de Asriel, la familia de los asrielitas; y de Siquem, la familia de los siquemitas;
32 the Shemidaite clan from Shemida, and the Hepherite clan from Hepher.
Y de Semida, la familia de los semidaitas; y de Hefer, la familia de los heferitas.
33 Now Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons but only daughters. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
Y Zelofehad, el hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos, sino sólo hijas, y los nombres de las hijas de Zelofehad fueron Maala, y Noa, Hogla, Milca, y Tirsa.
34 These were the clans of Manasseh, and their registration numbered 52,700.
Estas son las familias de Manasés; y los contados de ellos fueron cincuenta y dos mil setecientos.
35 These were the descendants of Ephraim by their clans: The Shuthelahite clan from Shuthelah, the Becherite clan from Becher, and the Tahanite clan from Tahan.
Estos son los hijos de Efraín por sus familias: de Sutela, la familia de los Sutelitas; de Bequer, la familia de los Bequeritas; de Tahán, la familia de los Tahanitas.
36 And the descendants of Shuthelah were the Eranite clan from Eran.
Y estos son los hijos de Sutela: de Eran, la familia de los Eranitas.
37 These were the clans of Ephraim, and their registration numbered 32,500. These clans were the descendants of Joseph.
Estas son las familias de Efraín, como fueron contadas, treinta y dos mil quinientas. Estos son los hijos de José por sus familias.
38 These were the descendants of Benjamin by their clans: The Belaite clan from Bela, the Ashbelite clan from Ashbel, the Ahiramite clan from Ahiram,
Los hijos de Benjamín por sus familias: de Bela, la familia de los Belaítas; de Asbel, la familia de los Asbelitas; de Ahiram, la familia de los Ahiramitas.
39 the Shuphamite clan from Shupham, and the Huphamite clan from Hupham.
De Sufam, la familia de los Sufamitas; y de Hufam, la familia de los Hufamitas.
40 And the descendants of Bela from Ard and Naaman were the Ardite clan from Ard and the Naamite clan from Naaman.
Y los hijos de Bela fueron Ard y Naamán: de Ard, la familia de los Arditas; de Naamán, la familia de los Naamitas.
41 These were the clans of Benjamin, and their registration numbered 45,600.
Estos son los hijos de Benjamín por sus familias, y según el censo fueron cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos.
42 These were the descendants of Dan by their clans: The Shuhamite clan from Shuham. These were the clans of Dan.
Estos son los hijos de Dan por sus familias: de Suham, la familia de los suhamitas. Estas son las familias de Dan por sus familias.
43 All of them were Shuhamite clans, and their registration numbered 64,400.
Todas las familias de los suhamitas, fueron contados, sesenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos.
44 These were the descendants of Asher by their clans: The Imnite clan from Imnah, the Ishvite clan from Ishvi, and the Beriite clan from Beriah.
Los hijos de Aser por sus familias: de Imna, la familia de los imnitas; de Isui; la familia de los isuitas; de Beria, la familia de los beriaitas.
45 And these were the descendants of Beriah: the Heberite clan from Heber and the Malchielite clan from Malchiel.
De los hijos de Bería: de Heber, la familia de los heberitas; de Malquiel, la familia de los malquielitas.
46 And the name of Asher’s daughter was Serah.
Y el nombre de la hija de Aser fue Sera.
47 These were the clans of Asher, and their registration numbered 53,400.
Estas son las familias de los hijos de Aser, así como fueron contados, cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos.
48 These were the descendants of Naphtali by their clans: The Jahzeelite clan from Jahzeel, the Gunite clan from Guni,
Los hijos de Neftalí por sus familias: de Jahzeel, la familia de los jahzeelitas; de Guni, la familia de los gunitas;
49 the Jezerite clan from Jezer, and the Shillemite clan from Shillem.
De Jezer, la familia de los Jezeritas: de Silem, la familia de los Silemitas.
50 These were the clans of Naphtali, and their registration numbered 45,400.
Estas son las familias de Neftalí por sus familias, y contados fueron cuarenta y cinco mil cuatrocientos.
51 These men of Israel numbered 601,730 in all.
Los contados de los hijos de Israel fueron seiscientos un mil setecientos treinta.
52 Then the LORD said to Moses,
Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
53 “The land is to be divided among the tribes as an inheritance, according to the number of names.
Que haya una división de la tierra entre estos, por su patrimonio, en relación con el número de nombres.
54 Increase the inheritance for a large tribe and decrease it for a small one; each tribe is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those registered.
A aquellas familias que son más numerosas, dan una mayor herencia; para aquellos que son menos en número, una parte más pequeña. Para cada uno dejar que el patrimonio se dé en relación con el número en su familia.
55 Indeed, the land must be divided by lot; they shall receive their inheritance according to the names of the tribes of their fathers.
Pero que la distribución de la tierra se haga por suerte. Por los nombres de las tribus de sus padres, que se les dará su herencia.
56 Each inheritance is to be divided by lot among the larger and smaller tribes.”
La repartición de la tierra se hará por suerte, que se distribuya tanto entre los que son más numerosos y los que son menos.
57 Now these were the Levites numbered by their clans: The Gershonite clan from Gershon, the Kohathite clan from Kohath, and the Merarite clan from Merari.
Estos fueron los de los levitas que fueron contados por sus familias: de Gersón, la familia de los gersonitas; de Coat, la familia de los coatitas; de Merari, la familia de los meraritas.
58 These were the families of the Levites: The Libnite clan, the Hebronite clan, the Mahlite clan, the Mushite clan, and the Korahite clan. Now Kohath was the father of Amram,
Estas son las familias de Leví: la familia de los libnitas, la familia de los hebronitas, la familia de los mahlitas, la familia de los musitas, la familia de los corítas. Y Coat fue el padre de Amram.
59 and Amram’s wife was named Jochebed. She was also a daughter of Levi, born to Levi in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.
La esposa de Amram era Jocabed, la hija de Leví, que tuvo en Egipto. Por Amram ella tuvo a Moisés y Aarón y su hermana María.
60 Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar were born to Aaron,
Los hijos de Aarón fueron Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
61 but Nadab and Abihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD.
La muerte superó a Nadab y Abiú cuando hicieron una ofrenda de fuego extraño ante el Señor.
62 The registration of the Levites totaled 23,000, every male a month old or more; they were not numbered among the other Israelites, because no inheritance was given to them among the Israelites.
De estos, veintitrés mil varones, de un mes y más, fue él total: no fueron contados con el resto de los hijos de Israel, porque no tenían herencia entre los hijos de Israel.
63 These were the ones numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.
Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hicieron este censo cuando los hijos de Israel fueron contados en las tierras bajas de Moab por el Jordán en Jericó.
64 Among all these, however, there was not one who had been numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Wilderness of Sinai.
Pero entre todos estos no había uno de los contados por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón cuando los hijos de Israel fueron contados en el desierto del Sinaí.
65 For the LORD had told them that they would surely die in the wilderness. Not one was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
Porque el Señor había dicho de ellos, la muerte ciertamente los alcanzará en él desierto. Y de todos ellos, solo Caleb, el hijo de Jefone, y Josué, el hijo de Nun, todavía vivían.
