Numbers 26
1 After the plague had ended, the LORD said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,

2 “Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by the houses of their fathers—all those twenty years of age or older who can serve in the army of Israel.”
Nehmt die Summe der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder Israel, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, alle, die ins Heer zu ziehen taugen in Israel.
3 So on the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest issued the instruction,
Und Mose redete mit ihnen samt Eleasar, dem Priester, in dem Gefilde der Moabiter, an dem Jordan gegenüber Jericho,
4 “Take a census of the men twenty years of age or older, as the LORD has commanded Moses.” And these were the Israelites who came out of the land of Egypt:
die zwanzig Jahre alt waren und darüber, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte und den Kindern Israel, die aus Ägypten gezogen waren.
5 Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. These were the descendants of Reuben: The Hanochite clan from Hanoch, the Palluite clan from Pallu,
Ruben, der Erstgeborene Israels. Die Kinder Rubens aber waren: Henoch, von dem das Geschlecht der Henochiter kommt; Pallu, von dem das Geschlecht der Palluiter kommt;
6 the Hezronite clan from Hezron, and the Carmite clan from Carmi.
Hezron, von dem das Geschlecht der Hezroniter kommt; Charmi, von dem das Geschlecht der Charmiter kommt.
7 These were the clans of Reuben, and their registration numbered 43,730.
Das sind die Geschlechter von Ruben, und ihre Zahl war dreiundvierzigtausend siebenhundertdreißig.
8 Now the son of Pallu was Eliab,
Aber die Kinder Pallus waren: Eliab.
9 and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. It was Dathan and Abiram, chosen by the congregation, who fought against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah who rebelled against the LORD.
Und die Kinder Eliabs waren: Nemuel und Dathan und Abiram, die Vornehmen in der Gemeinde, die sich wider Mose und Aaron auflehnten in der Rotte Korahs, die sich wider den HERRN auflehnten
10 And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire consumed 250 men. They serve as a warning sign.
und die Erde ihren Mund auftat und sie verschlang mit Korah, da die Rotte starb, da das Feuer zweihundertfünfzig Männer fraß und sie ein Zeichen wurden.
11 However, the line of Korah did not die out.
Aber die Kinder Korahs starben nicht.
12 These were the descendants of Simeon by their clans: The Nemuelite clan from Nemuel, the Jaminite clan from Jamin, the Jachinite clan from Jachin,

13 the Zerahite clan from Zerah, and the Shaulite clan from Shaul.

14 These were the clans of Simeon, and there were 22,200 men.
Das sind die Geschlechter Simeon, zweiundzwanzigtausend und zweihundert.
15 These were the descendants of Gad by their clans: The Zephonite clan from Zephon, the Haggite clan from Haggi, the Shunite clan from Shuni,
Die Kinder Gads in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Ziphon, daher das Geschlecht der Ziphoniter kommt; Haggi, daher das Geschlecht der Haggiter kommt; Suni, daher das Geschlecht der Suniter kommt;
16 the Oznite clan from Ozni, the Erite clan from Eri,

17 the Arodite clan from Arod, and the Arelite clan from Areli.

18 These were the clans of Gad, and their registration numbered 40,500.
Das sind die Geschlechter der Kinder Gads, an ihrer Zahl vierzigtausend und fünfhundert
19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan, but they died in the land of Canaan.
Die Kinder Juda's: Ger und Onan, welche beide starben im Lande Kanaan.
20 These were the descendants of Judah by their clans: The Shelanite clan from Shelah, the Perezite clan from Perez, and the Zerahite clan from Zerah.
Es waren aber die Kinder Juda's in ihren Geschlechtern: Sela, daher das Geschlecht der Selaniter kommt; Perez, daher das Geschlecht der Pereziter kommt; Serah, daher das Geschlecht der Serahiter kommt.
21 And these were the descendants of Perez: the Hezronite clan from Hezron and the Hamulite clan from Hamul.
Aber die Kinder des Perez waren: Hezron, daher das Geschlecht der Hezroniter kommt; Hamul, daher das Geschlecht der Hamuliter kommt.
22 These were the clans of Judah, and their registration numbered 76,500.
Das sind die Geschlechter Juda's, an ihrer Zahl sechsundsiebzigtausend und fünfhundert.
23 These were the descendants of Issachar by their clans: The Tolaite clan from Tola, the Punite clan from Puvah,
Die Kinder Isaschars in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Thola, daher das Geschlecht der Tholaiter kommt; Phuva, daher das Geschlecht der Phuvaniter kommt;
24 the Jashubite clan from Jashub, and the Shimronite clan from Shimron.

25 These were the clans of Issachar, and their registration numbered 64,300.
Das sind die Geschlechter Isaschars, an der Zahl vierundsechzigtausend und dreihundert.
26 These were the descendants of Zebulun by their clans: The Seredite clan from Sered, the Elonite clan from Elon, and the Jahleelite clan from Jahleel.
Die Kinder Sebulons in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Sered, daher das Geschlecht der Serediter kommt; Elon, daher das Geschlecht der Eloniter kommt; Jahleel, daher das Geschlecht der Jahleeliter kommt.
27 These were the clans of Zebulun, and their registration numbered 60,500.
Das sind die Geschlechter Sebulons, an ihrer Zahl sechzigtausend und fünfhundert.
28 The descendants of Joseph included the clans of Manasseh and Ephraim.
Die Kinder Josephs in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Manasse und Ephraim.
29 These were the descendants of Manasseh: The Machirite clan from Machir, the father of Gilead, and the Gileadite clan from Gilead.
Die Kinder aber Manasses waren: Machir, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Machiriter; Machir aber zeugte Gilead, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Gileaditer.
30 These were the descendants of Gilead: the Iezerite clan from Iezer, the Helekite clan from Helek,
Dies sind aber die Kinder Gileads: Hieser, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Hieseriter; Helek, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Helekiter;
31 the Asrielite clan from Asriel, the Shechemite clan from Shechem,
Asriel, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Asrieliter; Sichem, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Sichemiter;
32 the Shemidaite clan from Shemida, and the Hepherite clan from Hepher.
Semida, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Semiditer; Hepher, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Hepheriter.
33 Now Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons but only daughters. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
Zelophehad aber war Hephers Sohn und hatte keine Söhne sondern Töchter; die hießen Mahela, Noa, Hogla, Milka und Thirza.
34 These were the clans of Manasseh, and their registration numbered 52,700.
Das sind die Geschlechter Manasses, an ihrer Zahl zweiundfünfzigtausend und siebenhundert.
35 These were the descendants of Ephraim by their clans: The Shuthelahite clan from Shuthelah, the Becherite clan from Becher, and the Tahanite clan from Tahan.
Die Kinder Ephraims in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Suthelah, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Suthelahiter; Becher, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Becheriter; Thahan, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Thahaniter.
36 And the descendants of Shuthelah were the Eranite clan from Eran.
Die Kinder Suthelahs waren: Eran, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Eraniter.
37 These were the clans of Ephraim, and their registration numbered 32,500. These clans were the descendants of Joseph.
Das sind die Geschlechter der Kinder Ephraims, an ihrer Zahl zweiunddreißigtausend und fünfhundert. Das sind die Kinder Josephs in ihren Geschlechtern.
38 These were the descendants of Benjamin by their clans: The Belaite clan from Bela, the Ashbelite clan from Ashbel, the Ahiramite clan from Ahiram,
Die Kinder Benjamins in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Bela, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Belaiter; Asbel, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Asbeliter; Ahiram, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Ahiramiter;
39 the Shuphamite clan from Shupham, and the Huphamite clan from Hupham.
Supham, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Suphamiter; Hupham, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Huphamiter.
40 And the descendants of Bela from Ard and Naaman were the Ardite clan from Ard and the Naamite clan from Naaman.
Die Kinder aber Belas waren: Ard und Naeman, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Arditer und Naemaniter.
41 These were the clans of Benjamin, and their registration numbered 45,600.
Das sind die Kinder Benjamins in ihren Geschlechtern, an der Zahl fünfundvierzigtausend und sechshundert.
42 These were the descendants of Dan by their clans: The Shuhamite clan from Shuham. These were the clans of Dan.
Die Kinder Dans in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Suham, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Suhamiter
43 All of them were Shuhamite clans, and their registration numbered 64,400.
Das sind die Geschlechter Dans in ihren Geschlechtern, allesamt an der Zahl vierundsechzigtausend und vierhundert.
44 These were the descendants of Asher by their clans: The Imnite clan from Imnah, the Ishvite clan from Ishvi, and the Beriite clan from Beriah.
Die Kinder Asser in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Jimna, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Jimniter; Jiswi, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Jiswiter; Beria, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Beriiter.
45 And these were the descendants of Beriah: the Heberite clan from Heber and the Malchielite clan from Malchiel.
Aber die Kinder Berias waren: Heber, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Hebriter; Melchiel, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Melchieliter.
46 And the name of Asher’s daughter was Serah.
Und die Tochter Assers hieß Sarah.
47 These were the clans of Asher, and their registration numbered 53,400.
Das sind die Geschlechter der Kinder Assers, an ihrer Zahl dreiundfünfzigtausend und vierhundert.
48 These were the descendants of Naphtali by their clans: The Jahzeelite clan from Jahzeel, the Gunite clan from Guni,
Die Kinder Naphthalis in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Jahzeel, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Jahzeeliter; Guni, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Guniter;
49 the Jezerite clan from Jezer, and the Shillemite clan from Shillem.
Jezer, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Jezeriter; Sillem, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Sillemiter.
50 These were the clans of Naphtali, and their registration numbered 45,400.
Das sind die Geschlechter von Naphthali, an ihrer Zahl fünfundvierzigtausend und vierhundert.
51 These men of Israel numbered 601,730 in all.
Das ist die Summe der Kinder Israel sechsmal hunderttausend eintausend siebenhundertdreißig.
52 Then the LORD said to Moses,
Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
53 “The land is to be divided among the tribes as an inheritance, according to the number of names.
Diesen sollst du das Land austeilen zum Erbe nach der Zahl der Namen.
54 Increase the inheritance for a large tribe and decrease it for a small one; each tribe is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those registered.
Vielen sollst du viel zum Erbe geben, und wenigen wenig; jeglichen soll man geben nach ihrer Zahl.
55 Indeed, the land must be divided by lot; they shall receive their inheritance according to the names of the tribes of their fathers.
Doch man soll das Land durchs Los teilen; nach dem Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter sollen sie Erbe nehmen.
56 Each inheritance is to be divided by lot among the larger and smaller tribes.”
Denn nach dem Los sollst du ihr Erbe austeilen zwischen den vielen und den wenigen.
57 Now these were the Levites numbered by their clans: The Gershonite clan from Gershon, the Kohathite clan from Kohath, and the Merarite clan from Merari.
Und das ist die Summe der Leviten in ihren Geschlechtern: Gerson, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Gersoniter; Kahath, daher kommt das Geschlecht der Kahathiter; Merari, daher das Geschlecht der Merariter.
58 These were the families of the Levites: The Libnite clan, the Hebronite clan, the Mahlite clan, the Mushite clan, and the Korahite clan. Now Kohath was the father of Amram,
Dies sind die Geschlechter Levis: das Geschlecht der Libniter, das Geschlecht der Hebroniter, das Geschlecht der Maheliter, das Geschlecht der Musiter, das Geschlecht der Korahiter. Kahath zeugte Amram.
59 and Amram’s wife was named Jochebed. She was also a daughter of Levi, born to Levi in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.
Und Amrams Weib hieß Jochebed, eine Tochter Levis, die ihm geboren ward in Ägypten; und sie gebar dem Amram Aaron und Mose und ihre Schwester Mirjam.
60 Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar were born to Aaron,
Dem Aaron aber ward geboren: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.
61 but Nadab and Abihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD.
Nadab aber und Abihu starben, da sie fremdes Feuer opferten vor dem HERRN.
62 The registration of the Levites totaled 23,000, every male a month old or more; they were not numbered among the other Israelites, because no inheritance was given to them among the Israelites.
Und ihre Summe war dreiundzwanzigtausend, alles Mannsbilder, von einem Monat und darüber. Denn sie wurden nicht gezählt unter die Kinder Israel; denn man gab ihnen kein Erbe unter den Kindern Israel.
63 These were the ones numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.
Das ist die Summe der Kinder Israel, die Mose und Eleasar, der Priester, zählten im Gefilde der Moabiter, an dem Jordan gegenüber Jericho;
64 Among all these, however, there was not one who had been numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Wilderness of Sinai.
unter welchen war keiner aus der Summe, da Mose und Aaron, der Priester, die Kinder Israel zählten in der Wüste Sinai.
65 For the LORD had told them that they would surely die in the wilderness. Not one was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
Denn der HERR hatte ihnen gesagt, sie sollten des Todes sterben in der Wüste. Und blieb keiner übrig als Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnes, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.
