Numbers 12
1 Then Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of the Cushite woman he had married, for he had taken a Cushite wife.
米黎盎和亞郎為了梅瑟所娶的雇士女人出言反對梅瑟，因為他娶了個雇士女人，
2 “Does the LORD speak only through Moses?” they said. “Does He not also speak through us?” And the LORD heard this.
於是說：「上主豈只與梅瑟交談，不是也與我們交談過! 」上主聽見了這話。
3 Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.
梅瑟為人十分謙和，超過地上所有的人。
4 And suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “You three, come out to the Tent of Meeting.” So the three went out,
上主忽然向梅瑟、亞郎和米黎盎說：「你們三人到會幕那裏去。」他們三人就去了。
5 and the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the Tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them had stepped forward,
上主乘雲柱降下，停在會幕門口，叫亞郎和米黎盎；他們兩人就走向前去，
6 He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream.
上主說：「你們聽我說：若你們中有一位是先知，我要在神視中顯示給他，在夢中與他談話；
7 But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house.
但對我的僕人梅瑟卻不是這樣，他在我全家中是最忠信可靠的。
8 I speak with him face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you unafraid to speak against My servant Moses?”
我面對面與他明明說話，不藉謎語，並讓他望見上主的形像。為什麼你們竟不怕出言反對我的僕人梅瑟﹖」
9 So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed.
上主對他們發著怒走了。
10 As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly Miriam became leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she was leprous,
彩雲一離開會幕，看，米黎盎就生了癩病，像雪那樣白；亞郎轉身看見米黎盎生了癩病，
11 and said to Moses, “My lord, please do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.
遂對梅瑟說：「我主，懇求你，別使我們因一時愚昧所犯之罪而受罰!
12 Please do not let her be like a stillborn infant whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
求你別讓她像個胎死腹中的人，一出娘胎，肉身就已腐爛了一半。」
13 So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her!”
梅瑟遂向上主呼求說：「天主，我求你治好她罷! 」
14 But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.”
上主對梅瑟說：「若她的父親在她面上吐唾沫，她豈不要七天忍此羞辱，七天把她隔離在營外，然後才讓她回來﹖」
15 So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.
於是米黎盎七天之久，被隔離在營外；民眾也沒有起程，直到米黎盎回來。
16 After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.
以後，民眾由哈茲洛特起程出發，在帕蘭曠野紮了營。
