Nehemiah 7
1 When the wall had been rebuilt and I had set the doors in place, the gatekeepers, singers, and Levites were appointed.
Αφού δε το τείχος εκτίσθη, και έστησα τας θύρας, και διωρίσθησαν οι πυλωροί και οι ψαλτωδοί και οι Λευΐται,
2 Then I put my brother Hanani in charge of Jerusalem, along with Hananiah the commander of the fortress, because he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.
προσέταξα περί της Ιερουσαλήμ τον αδελφόν μου Ανανί και τον Ανανίαν τον άρχοντα του φρουρίου· διότι ήτο ως άνθρωπος πιστός και φοβούμενος τον Θεόν, υπέρ πολλούς.
3 And I told them, “Do not open the gates of Jerusalem until the sun is hot. While the guards are on duty, keep the doors shut and securely fastened. And appoint the residents of Jerusalem as guards, some at their posts and some at their own homes.”
Και είπα προς αυτούς, Ας μη ανοίγωνται αι πύλαι της Ιερουσαλήμ εωσού θερμάνη ο ήλιος· και εκείνων έτι παρόντων, να κλείωνται αι θύραι και να ασφαλίζωνται και φυλακαί να διορίζωνται εκ των κατοίκων της Ιερουσαλήμ, έκαστος εν τη φυλακή αυτού και έκαστος απέναντι της οικίας αυτού.
4 Now the city was large and spacious, but there were few people in it, and the houses had not yet been rebuilt.
Και η πόλις ήτο ευρύχωρος και μεγάλη, ο δε λαός ολίγος εν αυτή, και οικίαι δεν ήσαν ωκοδομημέναι.
5 Then my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials, and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. I found the genealogical register of those who had first returned, and I found the following written in it:
Και έβαλεν ο Θεός μου εν τη καρδία μου να συνάξω τους προκρίτους και τους προεστώτας και τον λαόν, διά να αριθμηθώσι κατά γενεαλογίαν. Και εύρηκα βιβλίον της γενεαλογίας εκείνων, οίτινες ανέβησαν κατ' αρχάς και εύρηκα γεγραμμένον εν αυτώ.
6 These are the people of the province who came up from the captivity of the exiles carried away to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar its king. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his own town,
Ούτοι είναι οι άνθρωποι της επαρχίας, οι αναβάντες εκ της αιχμαλωσίας, εκ των μετοικισθέντων, τους οποίους μετώκισε Ναβουχοδονόσορ ο βασιλεύς της Βαβυλώνος, και επιστρέψαντες εις Ιερουσαλήμ και εις την Ιουδαίαν, έκαστος εις την πόλιν αυτού·
7 accompanied by Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. This is the count of the men of Israel:
οι ελθόντες μετά Ζοροβάβελ, Ιησού, Νεεμία, Αζαρία, Ρααμία, Νααμανί, Μαροδοχαίου, Βιλσάν, Μισπερέθ, Βιγουαί, Νεούμ, Βαανά. Αριθμός των ανδρών του λαού Ισραήλ·
8 the descendants of Parosh, 2,172;
υιοί Φαρώς, δισχίλιοι εκατόν εβδομήκοντα δύο.
9 the descendants of Shephatiah, 372;
Υιοί Σεφατία, τριακόσιοι εβδομήκοντα δύο.
10 the descendants of Arah, 652;
Υιοί Αράχ, εξακόσιοι πεντήκοντα δύο.
11 the descendants of Pahath-moab (through the line of Jeshua and Joab), 2,818;
Υιοί Φαάθ-μωάβ, εκ των υιών Ιησού και Ιωάβ, δισχίλιοι και οκτακόσιοι δεκαοκτώ.
12 the descendants of Elam, 1,254;
Υιοί Ελάμ, χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες.

Άνδρες Κιριάθ-ιαρείμ, Χεφειρά, και Βηρώθ, επτακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα τρεις.

Άνδρες Ραμά και Γαβαά, εξακόσιοι είκοσι και εις.

Άνδρες της άλλης Νεβώ, πεντήκοντα δύο.

Υιοί του άλλου Ελάμ, χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες.

Υιοί Χαρήμ, τριακόσιοι είκοσι.

Υιοί Ιεριχώ, τριακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε.

Οι ιερείς· υιοί Ιεδαΐα, εκ του οίκου Ιησού, εννεακόσιοι εβδομήκοντα τρεις.
40 the descendants of Immer, 1,052;
Υιοί Ιμμήρ, χίλιοι πεντήκοντα δύο.
41 the descendants of Pashhur, 1,247;
Υιοί Πασχώρ, χίλιοι διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα επτά.
42 and the descendants of Harim, 1,017.
Υιοί Χαρήμ, χίλιοι δεκαεπτά.
43 The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua (through Kadmiel, through the line of Hodevah ), 74.
Οι Λευΐται· υιοί Ιησού εκ του Καδμιήλ, εκ των υιών Ωδαυΐα, εβδομήκοντα τέσσαρες.
44 The singers: the descendants of Asaph, 148.
Οι ψαλτωδοί· υιοί Ασάφ, εκατόν τεσσαράκοντα οκτώ.
45 The gatekeepers: the descendants of Shallum, the descendants of Ater, the descendants of Talmon, the descendants of Akkub, the descendants of Hatita, and the descendants of Shobai, 138 in all.
Οι πυλωροί· υιοί Σαλλούμ, υιοί Ατήρ, υιοί Ταλμών, υιοί Ακκούβ, υιοί Ατιτά, υιοί Σωβαί, εκατόν τριάκοντα οκτώ.
46 The temple servants: the descendants of Ziha, the descendants of Hasupha, the descendants of Tabbaoth,
Οι Νεθινείμ· υιοί Σιχά, υιοί Ασουφά, υιοί Ταββαώθ,
47 the descendants of Keros, the descendants of Sia, the descendants of Padon,
υιοί Κηρώς, υιοί Σιαά, υιοί Φαδών,
48 the descendants of Lebanah, the descendants of Hagabah, the descendants of Shalmai,
υιοί Λεβανά, υιοί Αγαβά, υιοί Σαλμαί,

59 the descendants of Shephatiah, the descendants of Hattil, the descendants of Pochereth-hazzebaim, and the descendants of Amon.
υιοί Σεφατία, υιοί Αττίλ, υιοί Φοχερέθ από Σεβαΐμ, υιοί Αμών.
60 The temple servants and descendants of the servants of Solomon numbered 392 in all.
Πάντες οι Νεθινείμ, και οι υιοί των δούλων του Σολομώντος, ήσαν τριακόσιοι ενενήκοντα δύο.
61 The following came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but could not prove that their families were descended from Israel:
Ούτοι δε ήσαν οι αναβάντες από Θελ-μελάχ, Θελ-αρησά, Χερούβ, Αδδών, και Ιμμήρ· δεν ηδύναντο όμως να δείξωσι τον οίκον της πατριάς αυτών και το σπέρμα αυτών, αν ήσαν εκ του Ισραήλ·
62 the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, and the descendants of Nekoda, 642 in all.
Υιοί Δαλαΐα, υιοί Τωβία, υιοί Νεκωδά, εξακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα δύο.
63 And from among the priests: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, and the descendants of Barzillai (who had married a daughter of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name).
Και εκ των ιερέων· υιοί Αβαΐα, υιοί Ακκώς, υιοί Βαρζελλαΐ, όστις έλαβε γυναίκα εκ των θυγατέρων Βαρζελλαΐ του Γαλααδίτου και ωνομάσθη κατά το όνομα αυτών.
64 These men searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.
Ούτοι εζήτησαν την καταγραφήν αυτών μεταξύ των απαριθμηθέντων κατά γενεαλογίαν, και δεν ευρέθη· όθεν εξεβλήθησαν από της ιερατείας.
65 The governor ordered them not to eat the most holy things until there was a priest to consult the Urim and Thummim.
Και είπε προς αυτούς ο Θιρσαθά, να μη φάγωσιν από των αγιωτάτων πραγμάτων, εωσού αναστηθή ιερεύς μετά Ουρίμ και Θουμμίμ.
66 The whole assembly numbered 42,360,
Πάσα η σύναξις ομού ήσαν τεσσαράκοντα δύο χιλιάδες τριακόσιοι εξήκοντα,
67 in addition to their 7,337 menservants and maidservants, as well as their 245 male and female singers.
εκτός των δούλων αυτών και των θεραπαινίδων αυτών, οίτινες ήσαν επτακισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι τριάκοντα επτά· και πλην τούτων διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε ψαλτωδοί και ψάλτριαι.
68 They had 736 horses, 245 mules,
Οι ίπποι αυτών, επτακόσιοι τριάκοντα έξ· αι ημίονοι αυτών, διακόσιαι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε·
69 435 camels, and 6,720 donkeys.
αι κάμηλοι, τετρακόσιαι τριάκοντα πέντε· αι όνοι, εξακισχίλιαι επτακόσιαι είκοσι.
70 Some of the heads of the families contributed to the project. The governor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics of gold, 50 bowls, and 530 priestly garments.
Και τινές εκ των αρχηγών των πατριών έδωκαν διά το έργον. Ο Θιρσαθά έδωκεν εις το θησαυροφυλάκιον χιλίας δραχμάς χρυσίου, πεντήκοντα φιάλας, πεντακοσίους τριάκοντα ιερατικούς χιτώνας.
71 And some of the heads of the families gave to the treasury for the project 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver.
Και τινές εκ των αρχηγών των πατριών έδωκαν εις το θησαυροφυλάκιον του έργου είκοσι χιλιάδας δραχμάς χρυσίου και δύο χιλιάδας διακοσίας μνας αργυρίου.
72 The rest of the people gave a total of 20,000 darics of gold, 2,000 minas of silver, and 67 priestly garments.
Και το δοθέν από του επιλοίπου λαού ήτο είκοσι χιλιάδες δραχμαί χρυσίου, και δισχίλιαι μναι αργυρίου, και εξήκοντα επτά ιερατικοί χιτώνες.
73 So the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, and temple servants, along with some of the people and the rest of the Israelites, settled in their own towns. And by the seventh month the Israelites had settled in their towns.
Ούτως οι ιερείς και οι Λευΐται και οι πυλωροί και οι ψαλτωδοί και μέρος εκ του λαού και οι Νεθινείμ και πας ο Ισραήλ, κατώκησαν εν ταις πόλεσιν αυτών. Και ότε έφθασεν ο έβδομος μην, οι υιοί Ισραήλ ήσαν εν ταις πόλεσιν αυτών.
